re: Jeff Goldblum is so underappreciated. He carries every scene he is in with his quirkiness.

Hoping he has more then just a cameo in the next Jurassic movie

He's excellent.
He was really good in The Big Chill as well.

I’ve always been a fan of Jeff Goldblum. He acted in a 30-minute episode of Ray Bradbury theatre called “The Town Where No One Got Off.” It’s eerily good—kind of like Black Mirror before there was Black Mirror.

The Fly only works because of him.
Geena Davis is dead weight.
There are very few films where one actor is the entire movie.
Cast Away of course but others could've done Cast Away. I don't know the list, but the ones who could've pulled off The Fly is short.

remember enjoying his portrayal of the a-hole in Igby Goes Down, starring a younger Culkin brother. Haven’t seen it a decade or so, so not sure it holds up.
Actually just watched this a few days ago and he was great. The way he always said "Igby my boyyy" was pure Goldblum. It was also fun seeing Kieran Culkin in another role besides Roman Roy

Fellow yinzer. Love Goldblum.
He grew up in West Homestead, directly across the Mon River from Pittsburgh. His dad was chief of staff at a Pittsburgh hospital, not sure which one, though if I were to guess, it was probably Allegheny General.

I like Goldblum.
But the premise of the thread is retarded.
The T Rex stole every scene he was in too.
Look at how he speaks with his eyes here.
Does that make him amazing and underappreciated?
Goldblum is perfectly appreciated. His appreciation is exactly on par with his skill and talent and his use of that skill and talent.
He’s a one trick pony. Like 150 other actors and actresses.
But who doesn’t like ponies? They are entertaining.

With all due respect, I disagree. Especially with regards to the early part of his career.

The man is supremely talented and w/o a doubt is a scene owning SOB. He’s built like a brick shite house too this day & I’d agree he comes off as guilty of playing the same character in all his films, but that’s worked for quite a few legends, see John Wayne & Harrison Ford. But you would have to catch him on stage or on Broadway, guy is supremely talented singing and dancing.
