Normally not a huge fan of Funko Pops but that looks to be the best bet for a King Shark figure!

I never collected the build a figure lines but I always felt bad for people that did. But it's some cocaine fueled exec's shining idea that's lasted a few decades.

I liked it, even though you knew it was coming because you knew who the main actors were going to be, the misdirect at the beginning was pretty good.
The character development and little side missions are so interesting that the big bad guy fight at the end was kind of lame in comparison. Also the whole Harley Quinn javelin into the monsters eye was so telegraphed that you knew it was happening like an hour before it did so it kind of ruined that scene.
They never actually showed Flaggs dead body, so I guess they’re keeping that open if they want to bring him back.
Overall I’d say it was solid, a fun watch and better than lots of other superhero movies

I enjoyed it but found there to be a bit too much gratuitous gore. Peacemaker's outfit and Starro gave it a definite campy feel but Cena's portrayal greatly toned down the cheesiness of the outfit and there's simply not a non-cheesy way to portray the attempt at world domination by a giant, blue starfish with a massive eyeball in its center. Especially one which spews out tiny versions of itself to clamp onto the faces of people in order to make them its slaves.

no flag is dead - the shard piercing the heart pretty much made that a for sure.

I mean generally I agree, but it’s a comic book movie so unless you see their entire body explode or there is a funeral with an actual body in it, you can never quite confirm they are dead

By HBO Max theatrical standards, it's "fine." It's below MORTAL KOMBAT and GODZILLA VS KONG.

So generalized math, if the average cost of a movie is $10 and an average household has 2.5 viewers that’s an extra $70million dollars you could add to the box office.
Of course, not all those people would’ve gone to see it in theaters

I think there is just a general apprehension about watching any DC films outside of Batman. I, for one, am one of those people but thoroughly enjoyed this movie but would've never watched it without HBO Max.

Troma with a budget behind it. It worked for me especially with Flag's going out on The Comedian dig calling him a joke. The sad thing is it took the OG Justice League threat this long to make it in a movie. My only complaint about the ending, other than the rewrite because Robbie had a hissy fit. Was that King Shark should have been in the eye with the rats.
Abner is still up in the air since they only found a very clean cap and not a body which could mean he teleported out (the dots do that in the comic, not established in the movie though other than the interdimensional lines).
If we ever get a Flash project, it's now a fertile character for one of Flash's redeem a villain stories.

I just don’t understand why they're putting them on HBO Max for free. Disney is charging you $30 to stay home and watch it. It really feels like they're leaving a lot of money on the table.

Good will generation. HBO has a lot going for it but it's an incomplete library hitting against Disney's.
So not getting tickytack with the pricing for new releases gives them a solid pro when people start deciding which to bail on.

Thought it was good not great.
Movie started out with a bang but got more cliche as it went on. Still was a fun ride
The only eye rolling moment was when waller got knocked out. Just a lame way to resolve that problem

I think in a year they will move to the Disney model. I think showing all free this year is to build up subs. Get as many subs as they can, then spring the prices after that.

Apparently I was lied to about the ending rewrite because I'm not finding it relating to Robbie. Only that Gunn rewrote his planned ending to keep Ratcatcher.

I went back and watched 2016 Suicide Squad after enjoying this one. That was horrible. Wow. This one was 100x better.

This movie was awesome. It has a lot of rewatch value.
