I wasn't super impressed by the season opener.
wasn't terrible, but I wasn't laughing much. the limo scene got a little out of hand and I couldn't help but laugh, but overall it didn't crack my top 10.

I thought it was ok. I laughed a good bit. When they walked away while playing Pretty Woman, that was just classic Sunny. But, some of the direction of the plots in this episode were just weird. How did Dennis go from being worried about his health to all of a sudden wanting to smoke crack? Was I just a little buzzing from watching the LSU game that I missed thta link in the story?

I thought the crack storyline came out of the blue too. Guess they tried to segue it in with the hooker, but it wasn't done very well.
They could have been trying to reference the welfare episode a bit. I assumed Dee would get back into crack after hanging with the hooker for a bit, but Dennis wanting to smoke rocks seemed like a stretch. I guess you never kick the habit, but I was thinking interaction with the prostitute is more of a trigger than hanging out with mac.
fat mac seems kind of gimmicky based off this first episode.
And what's the deal with Donovon McNabb/Tiger Woods? Does he just go around impersonating (badly, I might add) celebrities all day?

Maybe a tie back to when he was on welfare. Didn't he smoke crack then? Maybe still has the itch.

It was because he thought he was "healthy as shite" until he went to the doctor and found out his methods (not eating ect) weren't working and he had a bunch of deficiencies and high blood preasure.
From there he said screw it I'm going to eat like Mac and do what I want ( which was to smoke crack) cue the throwback to the welfare episide and being addicted to crack.

this is becoming my favorite running joke, and it's only happened twice. they know they know him from somewhere, and he never denies it, but also never confirms where from. its so dry and random.

good episode, but it relied on references to prior episodes
charlie impersonating a wealthy texan/cowboy
dennis and dee doing crack
the gang gets invincible/McNabb
sweet dee has a heart attack/ the scene in the gym vs. the scene with mac and dennis at the hospital
but whatever, I really liked it

As usual, the scenes with Charlie just steal the whole show!. IMO, some of the other stuff was just a little too out there.
Charlie Kelly is far and away the star of this show and it frustrates me sometimes when they focus too much on stories that don't involve him. The limo scene and premise was outstanding!!!
Frank's character is just starting to get to over the top dirt bag. I kind of hope they scale him back some.

Just finally got to watch last night's episode. Charlie spewing blood all over the chick in the limo was hysterical. He had a touch of conspumtion.
And loved seeing them them bring back the dude from the Invincible episode pretending to be Tiger Woods.
