If it was an acronym like you claim, it would be pronounced at-at. The word you meant to use is initialism, not acronym.
SCUBA = acronym
FBI = initialism.
OP doesn't even nerd good.

I’ve never heard anyone ever call that vehicle an “At At.” This seems to be imagined by you.
Is this your first time discussing Star Wars with other humans?

I mean, it’s not a real panty dropper to bring it up with dumb bimbos.

It’s AT-AT
It’s not a Tee-eye-eee fighter
It’s a TIE fighter (twin ion engine)

Pretty sure the Rogue Squadron games referred to them as “at-ats”. That’s good enough for me.

Since when is the baseline for conversation what's acceptable to dumb bimbos?
The pronunciation of AT-AT is a frequent argument among Star Wars fans.
Time Magazine asked Lucasfilm in 2010 and got the response that At-At is indeed correct.
As for post-Lucasfilm Disney, it's been said both ways inside actual canon Star Wars content. LINK

In the movies they are just referred to as walkers I think, if hey are even referred to by name at all.
I know in the book on tape for kids in 1980 they were simply called walkers.

Jeff Mitchell was the first kid on our street to get this. He called it an At-At. Pretty sure Jeff knew his Star Wars shite.

Another fair point here. Just been indoctrinated into Star Wars since I was like four that I didn’t consider that vehicle was also entirely capitalized.

If you call it “at-at” what do you call an AT-ST? At-stuh?

Absolutely.

I've never heard anyone pronounce it "at" "at". Is that a thing?

Empire at War supports OP pronunciation.
Note how it doesn’t sound ridiculous like “at at”

Yes but TIE fighter sounds cool and “at at” sounds like someone with a stutter
