It’s a good thing Billions is in its final season.

The constant cultural references got so old in the writing it became intolerably cringe worthy. Watching to see how it ends but the writing got worse with every season.

I think it’s ep 2 where Axe is having a conversation by the fire in his castle with the weird gay chick when I had to change the channel. It was impossible to watch.

I’m on season 3. Season 1 & 2 were great until they introduced Taylor and gave her wayyyyy to much screen time.

Taylor arriving made the show less watchable

Axe leaving made the show unwatchable

I love the two lead fellas but every clip I saw of this show was dialogue that sounded like guys on Reddit writing hedge fund fan fiction where they were the cool main character.

It’s god awful but I have to see how it ends. I think someone in junior high could write better dialogue. This dialogue is like LSU in the 4th quarter against Florida State.

Only watched the first couple seasons. Was entertaining at first but seemed repetitive and got boring so never went back to it.

Every word out of Chuck Rhodes mouth after season 3 is beyond the realm of believability. In fact, everything since the covid break has just has been a disaster.

I was desperately hanging on trying to see how they wrap it up until finally, in the middle of the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar cameo, I shut it down. In a few months, in a weak moment, I will probably binge the remainder of the season. It is a damn shame because it was must see TV the first few seasons.

The show got much worse when they introduced pronouns. It was unwatchable by the point to me.

The shows dialogue has always been laughably unbelievable. I am not sure there is a single character that speaks even remotely normal.

has showtime ever landed the plane on a show?

Koppelman appearances on The Rewatchables is enough for me to never want to watch Billions

This is on my list of shite I’m finishing out just because I was so far into it. Taylor killed the show. Also all the overly smart fund managers all have their own personal “Wags”

It got super lazy

Lazy is dead on accurate. In one of the latest episodes they were betting on what the name of the hurricane would be. Who doesn't know that storm names are pre-chosen in advance of hurricane season? And then for two of them to guess the same R name with a different spelling? And for one of them to be right? Jesus, Road Runner cartoons are more realistic.

S7E9 at least had a fantastic diatribe that will probably end up in a TD meme. About 48' in.

Fantastic.
