Well the opinion on IMDB is 7.1.

It's an important work.

Will you love it? Doesn't really matter, like the book should be read, the movie should be watched.

A good double-feature...1984 and then V for Vendetta.

Yes. It's definitely of it's time, but it's a well made, well acted movie.

It's very toned down compared to the book.

One of the best movies ever made.

John Hurt is amazing and Richard Burton is excellent as O’Brian in his final film performance.

We saw it at a matinee in Dallas in 1984 when it came out. It captured the book much more than I expected. When it was over I went to the bathroom and a guy was crying at the urinal (for what that's worth). Very well-made movie.

My pick would be 1984 and then Brazil.

I remember being in HS and having to read the book. I didn’t think it was very good at the time, but it seems like the message gets more and more important every day.

Probably a "like this could ever really happen" moment.

It's good but it is depressing as Hell.

He's a Georgia fan, they have issues with intellectual processing. Forgive him.
