Great movie, it’s just a tough hang because of a couple scenes so I don’t think many people run to go rewatch it often

Yup. Think I saw this with my brother. Or my dad. The race scene was highly uncomfortable.

A passing thought I just had is I think there’s some similarities between fincher run in the 90s and this run

Basically without thinking much of it through

Fight club = Social Network

Se7en = Girl with the dragon tattoo

FC/SN are huge social commentary movies about an evolving culture thats meaning has actually changed with time

Seven/Dragon tatto are commentaries on the darkness evils of the world and how it spreads and manifests

Fincher is so good

Now I just gotta figure out how Gone Girl and The Game relate commentary on what’s real vs fake??

the entire Swedish trilogy?
Any time a The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movie is brought up here I advise watching the Swedish triogy. You can not appreciate why Lisbeth Salander is the way she is without watching all of them.

They're probably still on Prime.

I don’t see how anyone can really say Mara was so great. It felt like Rapace owned that role in the originals. Seeing the US version after watching the Swedish Trilogy first it felt like Mara just copied Rapace. Mara was fine, but seeing Rapace make the Swedish Trilogy takes a lot away from Mara’s performance.

The Swedish versions were very good.
