Is Debbie on Shameless the worst character ever

I thought Luke Perry was the one who was way older than the character.

Worst character ever is Pete from Mad Men. Completely over acted that ruins the viewing experience. It’s like a clown on screen.

Give the new Cape Fear show a watch and check the teenage children characters. Pretty pretty awful.

Oh you will love it. I’m going to watch again just for the Bardem scene near the beginning.

While Debbie sucks Ian, aka gay jesus, is the worst character in Shameless so she can't be the worst character ever.

Debbie is, in her defense, a victim of her upbringing. Her dad is a degenerate , alcoholic, druggie, who steals, lies, and cheats everyone. Her mom is mentally ill, never around, and when she is around throws an already chaotic household into even more chaos. Fiona, her real mother figure, let their young brother get into cocaine, sleeps around, and has very few redeeming qualities outside of being extremely attractive.

So yes, Debbie sucks but she's not the worst on the show and the actress does a good job portraying how a real person in Debbie's situation would act.

Yes, the writers really ruined her character in the second half of the series.

I’ll be honest I didn’t watch the last two seasons so maybe I’m missing something. But Debbie is WAY worse than Ian as a character and it’s not close
