I know there's no chance Brie Larson has the acting chops to carry the franchise and dominate the screen with eveyone else there regardless of her characters lore.

I'll be amazed if they can pull that off.

And I can't wait to watch the inevitable backlash if a woman we've never seen before suddenly shows up out of the blue at the end of over a decades worth of buildup to save eveyone. Boy will that bit of frickery make people's heads explode. Lame.

I'm aware it's consistent with the comics, but for a decade we have watched Capitan America, Thor, and Iron Man lead this franchise and the movies. If Brie Larson shows up at the end and saves everyone it will effectively negate the MCU.

As long as shes not more powerful than strange. Imo hes still the most powerful character in the mcu. It actually made little sense how he couldn't defeat thanos 1 on 1

Wong cut Cull's arm off with a portal. Should have tried that on Thanos and send the gauntlet into the sun.

The gauntlet that was forged in the heart of a dying star?

That gauntlet?

Scarlett witch is one of the most powerful people in Marvel too. They make her into a wuss in the movies. She's more powerful than her dad, who is considered one of the most powerful mutants ever and can almost stand toe to toe with the Phoenix. In the MCU she picks up cars and plays tricks on people...

And decimated an Infinity Stone with one hand while keeping Thanos at bay with her other hand.

Good thing they're releasing her origin story before End Game.

The one time she did something consummate to her ability.

And depending on the type of star that is dying, the energy output of said dying star makes our sun look like a AAA battery.

My inference is that she will be. Her powers are such that barring an Ultimate Thor, Ultimate Hulk, or Rune King Thor she has to be #1.

Although the Thor they are developing is essentially assuming Odin's powers (symbolically with the loss of an eye).

Unlikely Spoilers below:

I listened to a youtube fan video that alleged a way to have the Avengers confront Hela would be to have Thor convince Hela to lead the most powerful of the dead against Thanos. Zombie Avengers, Zombie Odin, etc would be interesting but pretty weird to bring into the equation. I also don't think they really introduce a Galactus or Silver Surfer into the next Avengers equation. There are just too many characters to manage already.

She is obviously going to play a huge role in End Game and probably be the key to defeating Thanos, most likely due to her ability to time travel.

Adam Warlock should be that person based on comics.

Adam Warlock is (or was) suppose to appear in Guardians 3 and be the lead of the next Guardians team.

This is correct and consistent with the comics.

Which people should have no problem with. It's not like the MCU went with a woman in Thor's role and made her the baddest Mofo in the universe. This is not casting a black dude to play Bond. Captain Marvel is who she is in the comics. The dudes crying this is about "girl power" need to get a life.

Strange could have taken care of Thanos pretty easily.

Well it’s a lie and a slap in the face to those before her. It didn’t begin with her. Thor is 1500 years old. Cap was doing his thing in WW2. Peggy did hers in the 40s as well. Who knows how far back Hawkeye goes. Who knows how long T’Challa has been the Black Panther.

Its not how powerful she is but how weak they made the Black Order that pissed me off.
