Strange has really grown on me. Maybe it's that he has the balls to go head-to-head with Stark, but I like Benadryl Cummerbund as it it, so it doesn't really shock me.

I don't think I'm emotionally prepared for Stark or Cap to die, though. That's part of the reason that Civil War is such a good movie, IMO. I love both characters as portrayed by their actors. I get it that RDJ has practically put his world on hold for 10+ years to play Tony Stark, but he IS Stark.

Where do they go in a post-Tony world? Doesn't he take a black teenager under his wing, and she becomes the next IM?

That's all you took from my response?
Let me rephrase it for you.
Superman died saving the world from some huge beast that can't talk and was just created and wants to destroy everything for some reason we don't know. Superman died alone, and said nothing as he died. The movie, up to that point, had most of the world hating Superman.

Now compare that to how Spiderman died retard.

I wonder how the writers move forward with the comedy with all that’s been lost. I feel like they will have a hard time injecting comedic relief in the first half of part 2

Forgetting ironman for a second, the Stark empire and what happens to it once Stark is gone (all the money/IP/stuff) has to go somewhere and be managed by someone. I'm not sure that someone has surfaced yet in a way that makes sense.

That would be a disaster IMO.

Infinity war makes me want to see a second Doctor Strange movie more than the first Strange movie did.

Pepper will "take over," and Stark Industries will be referred to by name only in the MCU, which would be fine.

My big assumption has been that the core of the MCU will go cosmic after A4/GotG3, and that Earth stories will be smaller.

That, or, Black Panther because the focal point for everything, and most of the big earth stories can easily accommodate a shift to "Wakanda" for "Stark."

This is my guess as well. And I agree, that's "fine". But Disney will not let the ironman IP sit for too long. Kids buy up that shite more than any other MCU character.

Best scenes in the movie:

1. Thanos/Gamora and the Soul Stone
2. Peter Parker Dying in Tony's arms
3. Everyone else Dying
4. The Scotland fight
5. Thanos Enters Wakanda
6. Thor saves Wakanda

1. Discussion of the "Pirate-Angel" Thor on the Milano.
2. Spider-Man leaping from the school bus and hitting the classic 60's between-thwip pose (that makes me smile every damn time).
3. Guardians "Rubberband Man" music cue.
4. Cavalry to the rescue (Thor/Wakanda, Cap/Scotland, Hulk/Asgardian Ship).
5. Rocket Raccoon instantly becoming a responsible leader the moment that Thor shows him respect.

Which is ironic, since my understanding is that IM was a niche/fringe property in the comic book world until the 2008 launch of the MCU.

FWIW, I wasn't going SJW-worst-case-scenario with the black girl comment. I'm pretty sure there's a comic line now with that very story.

He wasn't niche in the comic books, but he was considered niche in terms of broad culture compared to Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Hulk.

He has always been A Tier Marvel, just not recognizable outside of comic books.

There is, and she isn't bad at all, however, the film has a character like Shuri who might serve the story better. I don't think they go that way....yet.

Yep. Ironman wasn't a big deal until the movies. He's relatively minor in the comics.

Because he doesn't need to. He doesn't want to choose who dies, plus Strange earned his respect. And he doesn't know what Strange saw.
