One thing I don't think we've discussed enough are Rocket and Thor's character arcs.
Seriously, Thor has gone from the most vanilla superhero in Thor 1 to a fricking badass in Ragnorak and IW. Like holy shite man. It's insane how awesome he was in this. The emotion of losing his people. The humor. Everything. He's a good dude.
Rocket has seriously matured and mellowed out a TON. He's still an a-hole but he's less of an a-hole than he was in Guardians 1 and 2. I love that he actually loves and cares for others. The Guardians have been together for so long (probably for 4 years at this point) that he genuinely loves and cares for them deeply. He's always been a father figure to Young Groot so seeing him lose Groot was tough to see. I would love to see how he deals with the aftermath of being the only Guardian left. Rocket was mad when Thor called him Rabbit for the first time. Old Rocket would have probably blasted his arse and sabotaged the mission because he would take offense to that sort of stuff but he didn't give a shite the next 10 times Thor called him that. I thought that was cool.

Thanos in his MCU incarnation has had his fixation with Death removed and has had it replaced with a "sense of balance".
That was a great move on Marvel's part. I thought it added a layer of complexity to Thanos.

One of the best decisions in the entire MCU in my opinion. Made him more complex and relatable and with that scarier.

Agree 100% on Thor and Rocket. That was a great team to follow. Cap seemed like an afterthought but really he can’t fight Thanos on the same level like Strange and Iron man can. I’m sure he does better in the comics but whatever.
I don’t know jack about Captain Marvel but sounds like her and Adam Warlock are gonna kill it in part two. It’s gknna suck if we bring all these people back from the soul stone and then they die for real. Watching Vision get brought back only to have the stone ripped out was brutal.

The crowd got the Wakanda music cue but seemed to miss the one for the Guardians.
As soon as I heard the first couple of notes of Rubberband Man, I knew they were cutting to the Guardians.

It even looked like they switched to the Guardians style of filming. The screen got really colorful and there was a random planet in focus.
Thats Guardians 101.

I don't. But there are some posters whose worldview is seemingly threatened by the presence of black superheroes. As though the underlying principles of heroics can only be limited to a certain subset of humanity.
You're the one who keeps bringing it up. Could be time to look in the mirror.

Further down that page, they have an article of "all of the Marvel movies ranked from worst to first" or something like that. They have Infinity War ranked number 13...

And winter soldier ranked 14...

Was disappointed by Quill in this, dude seemed less mature than in the first couple GOTGs.
Really, there were a couple head-scratching moments that you could skate by, but did detract some. Case in point:
Quill losing his shite on Thanos before they got the Gauntlet off. They almost had it. If they did, then certainly Strange would have some idea what to do with it; and both he and the Guardians would be aware of Thor (likely able to wield it and fix the mess Thanos made).
The Wakanda fight scene; it was ultimately doomed anyway because Thanos could come through the shields, but why raise them before?
"If they circle around and come through the back, they can get to Vision"... and Scarlet Witch. Pretty sure she could handle a few strays with ease.

What does the end scene of Thanos seeing Gamora as a child again represent? What was that about?

He wasn't raging against the universe, he was "fixing it". He wanted to do it for her. He wanted to share it with her, leave it to her.
I think it shows the potential chink in his armor. He's omnipotent now and can create any "final reward" he can imagine... and his choice is to spend it with the one person he can't bring back. That will eat away at him.

These were one of my few 'weaknesses' of the movie. We're supposed to believe Wakanda is this super advanced society, yet they immediately send out ground troops to fight the 'dogs'...Ground Troops should've been the 'last resort' with all their advanced weaponry.

To be fair, ground wars seem to be pretty common in the MCU universe. The Asgardians didn't use much air support and they are way more advanced than Wakanda.
