I love Last Crusade but haven't seen it in a while.
Hopefully this isn't a dumb question, but aren't Indy and his dad supposed to be immortal? They both drank from the Holy Grail.

So the Grail can't pass, but that's not to say those who drink from it can't. Sounds like if the Grail passes the Seal, then its powers are no more.
Indy and his dad both drink from it, dad is healed of his gunshot wound, but the Grail is lost in the chasm. Does it go beyond the barrier? If they're no longer immortal, shouldn't Jones Sr's injury return?

Love that you say that cause I figured SR would drop dead, and not get to ride off in the sunset hahaha.
They say the Grail can't go past the seal, but nothing about it not working. Maybe they did I just don't remember.
