Mangold took one for the paycheck here. If you listen to Waller-Bridges interviews she rewrote almost everything and when Mangold didn’t agree she just went to Kennedy.

The vast majority of people on this board who have seen it are saying that they enjoyed the movie. I’m sorry that this isn’t enough evidence that the film can be enjoyable.

The reality is Kathleen Kennedy has done tremendous damage to beloved properties like Star Wars. She put her politics and radical feminism above good storytelling.
So even if Indy 5 is a better film than what was initially reported, people are so angry at her for other things that they will not see it and also do everything they can to hurt the movie.
And judging by the bad box office results, they succeeded.
Hopefully, she leaves the studio so they can start fresh with someone else.
