I'll add that the Andor prequel series is even better.

Keep meaning to give Andor a try because it's supposed to be similar to Rogue One. But I didn't like Mandalorian so I keep putting it off, having a hard time believing that Disney will make a Star Wars TV show I want to see.

It’s okay.

It failed to build engagement with any of the characters. Literally everyone died and didn’t feel a thing about a one. The only character that wasn’t made out of wood was Andor and the damned robot.

Best Star Wars movie outside of the original trilogy.

And Solo deserves more respect.

Andor is great, and I say that as someone who didn’t like the Mandalorian.

i guess 'great' relative to the standard disney has dropped to in recent years.

judged on its merits alone, it is a 5/10 at best.

Ehhh, personally I thought it was overrated. Not bad. Just don't think it lives up to the hype people give it. I didn't really care about the two main characters in it. And I think people just remember the Darth Vader scene at the end as the definition of the film. And while that scene was awesome, it was still completely unnecessary and superfluous to the story being told. I thought andor series was great though. But that's just me. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade. If you liked it, then that's all that matters. All film is subjective. So keep enjoying the crap out of that film.

I haven't rewatched Rogue One since watching Andor. I'm kind of afraid to... because Andor is deep and fantastic. I'm not sure how that will affect how I view the movie. I'm really not sure this is a fitting end for that character.

It’s the only Star Wars movie since the original trilogy that I really really liked. The one they made right after it was solid too, then it was mostly shite from what I remember. Truthfully I never really connected with the original trilogy and then I went back and got into them after liking Rogue One.

It’s my second favorite Star Wars film, and I have no shame in saying that.

Solo only failed because of backlash with the Last Jedi.

Which sucks because outside of the way he got the name Solo, I really liked the story and felt it was a decent foundation to build upon ending up at the jaded scoundrel with a good heart we saw in the OT.

Just fess up.

The movie is ok without Vader. Vader totally makes the movie and he is back to being a bad guy, not a fallen hero.

Rogue One and Andor are easily the best pieces of Star Wars content that has been released under Disney and it's not particularly close.

The only DVD that is in my star wars collection with the original 3. Love that it leads right into the original 3 movies. Everything else as far as star wars movies never happened in my world.

100% agreed, and always thought it would’ve been better if they didn’t show Vader or even mention him at all until that final scene.
