I'd say that the fentanyl use was the main contributor, but I'm no doctor.

How many more episodes until it’s finished? I’m waiting so I can binge.

6 total episodes so 2 more left to air

I have to commend just how accurate Michelle was in her speculation about the kind of guy the GSK is and what his motives were. I'm not sure if she ever would've "solved" the case had it not been for 23 & Me, but her profile of the dude just by going off his M.O. was pretty dead-on.
She didn't develop the profile. It was the profile of years of detective work, based on police files she read, and independent investigators. Quit acting like she did something trained law enforcement profilers didn't do over 30 years.

If you do a doc on JDD or BTK focus on their story on not the story of who wroye it.
She isn't just some random person who wrote a book about this. She brought the case back to light. She busted her arse to try and catch this dude. She was the investigator. It kind of is her story.

Relax. I already acknowledged that the miniseries is very selective in airing the points she made that would only make her look better.

I wasn’t a fan of the finale
Good way to send it off, but I guess the reveal that they got him in episode 5 and then the necessary rah rah stuff in episode 6 was expected
Good material. There’s a great podcast on the EAR by Casefile. The host did his research. I want to say he did it before 2018, though.

Criminology podcast did a season on him and they got him during the middle of the season. Pretty crazy. Now if somehow we could get zodiac identified

I enjoyed parts of the series but I thought the finale was deeply flawed. If you watched that episode alone you probably wouldn't realize the guy wasn't just a serial rapist, he was a serial killer.
I did find it fascinating that the woman he served as a surrogate father for was apparently nurtured and not mistreated. It was surprising not only that he was good to her but that his criminal behavior apparently went into remission for those five years.
They missed the opportunity to point out he was feigning physical and mental debility after being caught. They missed the opportunity to point out that the Michelle McNamara death was debatably a suicide. They missed the opportunity to interview one of the dozens of people who were friends and relatives of the people he murdered instead of devoting all of the time to sexual violence (because that was more salacious or in step with our zeitgeist?)

HBO sent me to it after finishing something else. I watched the 1st two episodes the first night and binged it over the weekend. I'd never read anything about the guy before, so I was sitting on the edge of my seat for the duration.
My brother lives in Goleta, CA where some of the last murders happened. My SIL is from Santa Barbara, so I guess she had to worry about that bastard in the late 70's early 80's.
