Strangely I have not seen plans for Black Panther or Carol Danvers
Black Panther may happen

I don't mind getting them every 6 to 8 months. But I'm not in the majority on that I don't think.
I don't either but we're used to a quicker, more consistent pace from reading comics.

The only comics I've read recently have been The New 52 Justice League and I have Justice League Dark ordered and on its way. I plan on getting The Flash's new comic soon too when I get the money.
You ever read All-Star Superman? As far as current DC, Flash is a good one. Shazam will get his own book soon and that'll be solid as well.

quote:Well, if you want to start, now is the time. The New 52 comics are currently being released and they are a reboot of the universe following the Flashpoint incident.
Having never been a DC reader, I wouldn't even know where to begin as far as what I might like. But I've thought of trying a few.
Like I said, I've only read JL and I'm starting JL Dark, but there are a bunch of good ones released so far.
Surprisingly, Aquaman and Wonder Woman are two of the better sellers.

Comics have been around as a source of entertainment forever. There are plenty of good stories to still come out of them.
Preacher
Chew
The Pitt
I kind of want Doomsday to kill Supes on the big screen
Supreme
Wetworks
Gen 13
Grifter
Flash
Lobo

I think what MCU is going to end up looking like is different pockets of the universe exists so to speak, with the Avengers operating against global threats but nothing more than that. You might see the whole Avengers team together one more time, but after that maybe not for years.
Hollywood will always need tentpole movies.
Comics have been around for decades and they are finally getting their day in the sun, so I look forward to them (although disappointed in IM3).
As far as new movies I'd like to see:
original New Warriors
Preacher
Powers
a New Teen Titans movie
Namor
a recast Cyclops in X-Men

I want something completely opposite of this thread
I want a stand alone villian movie
Maybe a joker flick based on the killing joke or something, a origin for the joker kind of thing
The villains have always interested me more than the heros

Delving into a mind like Lex Luthor's is far more interesting than Superman. Agreed.

I think they're still trying to develop this for FX. I just read basically the whole second volume. It could make for a pretty good TV show if done correctly.
Though, the 'if done correctly' tag basically applied to everything.

A picture posted in the Fantastic Four Reborn thread got me wondering.
Why have they never used Psylocke in any of the X-men movies?

Wasn't their a comic in which the Martian Manhunter used telepathy or something to kind of temporarily fix the part of the Joker's mind that made him insane. And he was like this brilliant strategist or something that helped the heroes defeat some great menace. But he was appalled at al the stuff he had done?
I swear I read that somewhere.
That might make a good movie.

Not sure how I missed that.

Because there is no chick in real life that looks that good. Especially with purple hair.

That happened in a JLA story called Rock of Ages
He didn't become a brilliant strategist though. He just became incredibly remorseful.
