Jett from Batman-on-film, who is probably the biggest insider to the DC movie universe, (has Nolan on speed dial) said this is what we will see instead of JLA.

That happened in a JLA story called Rock of Ages

Thanks. I knew I remembered something like that.

Well, I was pretty close anyway.

Googling it, it looks like there were a few storylines where he becomes sane for a brief time maybe. Though I don't know the plots of any of the others. One was apparently even called Going Sane. Must've been a mini series or something.

Punisher - Tom Jane was epic in The Punisher and i never understood why they got rid of all the people from that epic movie and made that trashy sequel... Perhaps even bring him in as a villain like in the spider man vs punisher comics?

Flash - Epic hero with no movie? DC needs to step it up.

Constatine
- Loved the edginess and darkness of the comic books and movies.

Justice League and lack of DC Motivation: Green Lantern, Superman, Martian, batman, flash, etc. Amazing how some of the DC movies are well done with great budgets and some are crap...

They are taking over. Just too many of them.

JUST superhero movies, from the days of Adam and Eve (1951) until 1991, there had been 51 total superhero movies. Superman and Mole Man being the first in 1951 (I think), there wasnt another till 1966 with the original Batman.

From 2000 to the end of 2013 there will have been 65 total. Thats not counting Transformers and a few others, dont know how to clasify them, or even the tons of animated movies. And it's only getting worse.

Run the stats for pure "single flawed male figure-centered action movie." They are probably opposite. This is the current trend for action movies post 9-11. We decided that "heroism" is something only people who sacrifice their lives to do, so we don't make real, flawed figures into heroes anymore, and probably won't for a long time (in terms of cultural psyche).

But we have to have heroes, so we transpose those properties onto people that can't exist. No more hyper-masculinity, bullets, and 90 dead men versus one Arnold. We are jaded now, so we have to take that kind of battle, good vs. evil one vs. many, and put it out of reach.

Enter Super Heroes.

And my vote goes to:

1. Nova - Probably one of the most interesting Superheroes no one in the mainstream knows
2. Nightwing - Dick Grayson is just awesome.
3. Cyclops - I want the fall of Cyclops storyline on film, he became an extremely deep character. Just pure awesome.
4. Heroes for Hire
5. Bishop - His power is great, and time travel needs to be done (yes, Days of Future Past..)
6. Black Panther
7. Wonder Man - Could be tons of fun

Oh, here's one that hasn't been posted yet.

Give me another Dredd movie with Keith Urban and Olivia Thirlby.

That first movie was awesomely fun.

I wouldn't mind a reboot of Spawn. He has a lot of potential that was ruined by the first movie.

Didn't know it was a comic, the first could have been epic.

This is how you make a 35yr old man feel old. You're right about the first too. They really tried but came up a bit short.

Phantom definitely counts and a reboot would be cool. Gotta give Billy Zane a place in there somewhere though.

Lobo is the correct answer

Reboot Fantastic Four
Dead pool
Silver Surfer
Cable and Xforce
