Either Dances or Titanic. I'm leaning towards the later.

I'm wondering what it was about Titanic that made it such a huge winner.
Because its a movie that has literally everything. It had supposedly the greatest love story ever told, Leo who was already Romeo, was set in a period that seemed romantic, and for the guys they had an awesome ship sinking, and for the teenagers he somehow got Kate Winslett to show her tits and keep it at a PG-13 rating. It was the perfect storm for box office growth.

One of the most pretentious bullshite movies I've ever seen. Can't believe the Oscars fell for this piece of shite.

My favorite director is Ridley Scott. Other than Crash - I don't even really care for the others.

Gladiator is overrated. Never should have won best picture.
It would be between Titanic or Dances with Wolves

If it was this year I would think Crash bc of the racism in it.

Dances With Wolves
It has almost everything Hollywood loves.
It's a "big" movie that is epic in scope.
It has a big star in the lead.
Its message makes every movie industry liberal cream their jeans: the white male as the defiler of Eden...the Indian as the pillar of wisdom and righteousness.
"Dances" would win so huge it wouldn't be funny. In fact, "Dances" might just get more votes than the field combined.
