I think I’ve messed up. Hard to just watch one episode at a time. Didn’t mean to stay up until 1:30 am last night. It just happened.

Amazing show. It's a shame that it ended after season 4, and they never finished it.

So I need to stop after season 4? My son said I definitely need to skip the last season. Apparently, he’s still pissed about the show’s ending.

Last season is incredible and a perfect way to wrap everything up.

They got past the books after season 4 and the show deteriorated quickly. The writing was much worse in season 5, and horrendous by the end.

It's part of the whole experience... The Yin and the Yang.

I'm extremely jealous while also extremely sad. Season 8 is dark and full of terrors.

I started a rewatch a month or so ago

It’s amazing after a long hiatus. I’m on season 4 and I’m loving it all over again. Any scenes north of the wall are incredible

Agree. If you're going to start it...might as well finish it.

You can watch through 7. 5 has the best episode in the series, 6 is inconsistent but has some great ones, and 7 is a fun season even though the writing went downhill

If you binge the whole over a few weeks you will probably think the last few seasons are fine. I think people who got real upset over the last season were book nerds and people who had invested multiple years of their lives into the show (i.e. TV nerds).

I wouldn't consider myself either. There is no defending how awful the last season was. Pure laziness by D&D. The storylines for the most part could have worked with another full season or two, but they were insistent on rushing it with basically a half season.

Yes, writing was worse, but I still would watch season 5 and season 6. I'm still haunted by the season 6 "The Door" episode.

Absolutely not.

The bashing of the final season(s) is completely overblown.

Watch the series in its entirety. It's a fantastic show.

It is pretty bad. It isn't Rings of Power bad, but it when comparing it to the first 4-5 seasons, you'll understand why it is so reviled.

Season 6 was great and resolved a lot of dangling plotlines. I'm not sure why it's so reviled.

Stop watching at the end of season 6 and use your imagination to fill in the rest.

The show really falls off a cliff after battle of the bastards and the writers go off the rails as well.

you're welcome.
