Which James Bond is a crew of hitmen goons unable to kill a 110lb suburban woman in her 40s lol She was an attorney (who's clearly has SEAL training at some point)
It's not triggering. Its just standard fare these days. It shouldve been titled "No Man Will Ever Push Me Around". Because thats what drives the entire plot

We watched it before bed last night. I woke up this morning, still pissed.

We just finished it earlier and it’s worth the watch IMO but I never had any doubt on who should die, at least in the order of who should be killed.

I do the same thing.

I wanted Pike tortured, killed, and pissed on by Dianne Weist. That ending was not worth the trip.
Dianne Wiest was under-utilized. She did have one good line.
I agree, the ending was supposed to provide some satisfaction, but it doesn't, because it involves someone who—while not random—isn't someone we're particularly rooting for to get revenge.

It was absolutely terrible.
Told my wife that if she's smart enough to pull off this whole scheme then she would be smart enough to know she's in over her head. There were about 4 opportunities where she would know this and walk.
Then her girlfriend wants to pack a bag and leave, gets almost murdered, then decides sure let's fight back?
Then she overcomes these mobsters? The judge was terrible.
That was a very bad movie.
Eta:
the line about the guy having a penis and hating to lose to someone with a vagina had to have been written by a 14 year old with two feminist parents.

I know this a reach...
I’m laughing typing this
But is there ANY chance that this film is a mockery commentary on the prevalent “AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR” ? Its almost that illogical it appears that this is plausible?

It sucked.
I gave up on it having any redeeming value after she got gassed in the chair and woke up just 10 minutes later and in time to be aware of the situation. Proceeds to kick out a window in 60 feet of water and swim to the surface. And then becomes a retired member of the Green Berets with a vengeance.

I watched it... haven’t read the entire thread. But look no further for a summary than this - it is spot on.

Its exactly the fare that I hate Netflix for these days. Its not a serious film, but Pike plays a cold, calculated lipstick lesbian who never misses an opportunity to let every man in her presence know she is one bad bitch and will not be intimidated or outsmarted by men in the least!!
She's a ruthless, brilliant attorney who turns John Wick toward the end and makes a bunch of murderous mafia goons look stupid and weak. Its grrrrl power to infinity and im baffled that we lasted till the closimg credits
The end

I think some of y’all are looking for too much plausibility in a dark comedy
Wtf?? That movie was not a comedy. Dark, yes. But there was no comedic value intended.
The comedic value is the fact that the director, producers, writers, and actors all intended the movie to be a series action-drama.
My a-hole is a dark comedy compared to this movie. (I have no idea what that actually means, just like I have no idea you think that movie was meant to be a dark comedy.)

Yeah I didn't really see a dark comedy in this movie.

I’m confused. Did they shoot a couple of shots of alcohol in her nose before putting her behind the wheel?

Yeah. They pumped half a bottle of vodka into her.

Those shoes she was wearing when she was in the car. I think she had heels on when they kidnapped her. Marla would never be caught wearing Payless shoes. So did the mob go buy her shoes and change them for her?

Well, he allowed a fake bicycle riding, bitchy 100 pound lawyer take him and 5 of his big-bad russian mafia dudes out... so, I wouldn't be surprised if he bought her some new shoes first.

spoilers
I agree that the last third of the movie was very meh, but had she not gotten blasted at the end by ol dude, then my opinion of the movie would've been a lot worse. But, I liked the ending when she got shot. That was satisfying. Still not a great movie, but entertaining enough.

More Spoilers....
It really was though. But I felt like the director was trying to evoke emotions of sympathy for her and her girlfriend /co-villian. And that just pissed me off even more.
