I am appalled and offended at this board's lack of excitement for GEOSTORM

When the network of satellites designed to control the global climate start to attack Earth, it's a race against the clock to uncover the real threat before a worldwide geostorm wipes out everything and everyone.

Director: Dean Devlin (HELL YEAH)

Look these hatin arse reviews

This is a movie where the special effects are relied on so heavily that acting, dialogue and wardrobe do not matter.

The climate change angle is mere window dressing for what is essentially another 'Gerard Butler action film'.

I am glad someone FINALLY posted about this.

I am looking forward to going to see this. I hope they try to keep the science somewhat in the realm of possibility.

Not counting on it

This movie looks terrible, but for some reason I think it'll end up being a surprise hit.

I'm probably wrong though. If you want to see it, more power to you. I definitely don't.

Seems like a rehash of "the core".

Man created something ---> it gets out of control----> planet gets in danger of being destroyed-----> man know acknowledges his mistake and recognize what a horrible being he his ----> man tries to fix the situation ---> some nice cgi, valiant music, cheap/funny lines--->. Man fixes the problem ---->. Some cliche message of unity/love. The End

Somebody I’m pretty close with worked on this movie. He said basically everyone in the cast and crew knew what a dumpster fire it was going to be and hated working on it. He said people just wanted to get it over with to move on to their next project.

It thought it was going to be a SyFy channel tv series the first time I saw an ad for it. I was shocked when it ended and found out it was a theatrical release.

Honestly, when I first saw the advertising, I thought it was a for a SyFy channel movie.

Thought Gerard Butler had certainly taken a tumble.

Glad I wasn't the only one.

Dean Devlin is an associate of Roland Emmerich, aka Disaster Movie Man. This will bomb bad. I'll be mad if this earns more money than Blade Runner 2049.

You never know. There is always the China market. They seem to love crappy visual effect movies.
