TFA is a piece of shite. It only seems better because of how bad TLJ is.

It’s the opposite for me. I saw TFA 3 times in the theater as did many fans. It had me excited about SW again, regardless of what some may claim it being a “rip off” of ANH (it’s not, it’s a homage). TLJ diminishes TFA to the point where I don’t even care to rewatch it anymore.

I agree with this word for word. It was my exact experience.

My exact feelings. I really liked TFA. After Last Jedi don’t want to watch TFA again.

Leia died in real life.

In the movie they made all Skywalkers 100% invincible. So who gives a shite what happens next? Even dead unconscious Skywalker's can use the force the revive and then move themselves around. And they can easily survive the vacuum of space even unconsciously.

really ruined a back story for one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars saga.

Where'd you get that iconic blaster? It's not even mine. I got it from some dude. It was his trash.

How did Lando get so smooth? He used to frick Droid hips back into alignment.

Hey you're always alone. Let's call you solo....... He's literally never alone again.

How did you become friends with Chewy? I growled at him in prison one time coincidentally.

The first job I ever did in a ship that wasn't mine was the Kessel Run or whatever.

It's so awesome and cool that literally every single aspect ad story of my entire character happened and developed in less than 72 hours.

I 100% agree with all of this except I saw TFA 4 times. I walked out of TLJ disgusted. I won't pay to see the next piece of shite or any movie Kathleen Kennedy or Rian Johnson have anything to do with.

Count me as another that enjoyed TFA. I bought it on blu-Ray day one.

I also really enjoyed Rouge One.

This is the narrative of people who see something hackneyed and formulaic, but want to enjoy it because they're emotionally invested.

JJ isn't capable of original, creative thought. He's proven that many times.

Remember when Finn broke through years of brainwashing after the first time he was deployed in battle?

Now all the colored characters are a part of the B and C Plots.

JJ didn’t write TFA. It was written by Lawrence Kasdan, who also wrote ESB.

Yes he did. He co-wrote it and also gets the "story by" credit.

And Kasdan is a million years old now. Ridley Scott was once good too. Once.

I never understood this criticism because I never understood why anyone would take Kylo Ren’s word for anything, let alone when he has a clear incentive to be dishonest.

They should just kill ROS and make a Baby Yoda movie. Everyone would be on board for that.
