It’s giving me some strong WotLK vibes. I wouldn’t want the show to end this way, but I can’t deny that looks badass.
I think it was a real missed opportunity to not have a major, beloved fighter killed and raised by the NK for the others to fight. Saaaaay a Brienne/Jaime showdown. Or Jorah/Jon. That would have been sick.

its such a cheap, easy ending
the only worse ending I could possibly think of is the final scene being Bran waking up after being shoved out the window by Jamie in S1 and revealing it was all a dream
