So many fricked up things have not happened yet and the show has barely even left the runway. I am still attached to it.

That is something that GOT did very well.
Even though most of the power players were not likeable a lot of the side characters and supporting characters were very likeable.
I don’t think it’s fair to ask this show to produce a Tyrion he’s one of a kind. But a Bron, Hound, Red Vioer type of character is easy enough to to create. Someone who loves fighting, fricking, and crude jokes, should’ve made one of the brooding knights that type of guy instead.

Larys is one sick frick and Alicent is a complete count, but I believe she’s kind of been driven toward it with the King consistently failing to see any fault in Rhaenyra. She’s had to sit there and watch her embarrass the house and crown. Everyone line’s who is father of the kids but the King refuses to acknowledge it. She also knows the King is coming to his end and Aegon is in serious danger once this happens.
Ser Cristin is a bitch now. Alicent perhaps still has some redeeming qualities, but the rest in her corner are complete assholes.
The Princess really lost any likability as well. She’s beaten down by years of whispers behind her and has turned cold and somber. She had a light about her in her younger years that is no long we present.

At first I thought that maybe Cristin Cole could fill this role. But, err … nope.
Maybe one of the kids could go roguish. They really need a Bron/Hound badly.

Totally forgot about some of the deaths from the book so it was a genuine surprise at first.
I will say I hope they now slow down a good bit and flesh out some of the details more obviously on screen for non book readers. I was nervous about the new actresses but I think they both did a great job.

I agree. I think they both did well. I have not read the books but heard from those that had that Rhaenyra was supposed to have lost her light from that decade in the Capitol and if that is the case then it was portrayed perfectly. She definitely looks and acts like a beat down version of the younger Princess.

Only thing I don’t like, the boys shouldn’t be more than ten years old. Those actors are 12-16 years old.
