Speaking of spoilers. If anyone sees an image or a gif or video of Joffrey Barartheon being filmed through a sewer grate. Quickly turn off or scroll away.
That audio that follows is a major spoiler. It's been going around the internet. It's from season 3 of Game of Thrones.

She's so upset she shows up late to the feast. Only to interrupt the kings speech and wear her Maiden colors not house colors.

If you did something that could get you killed or tortured but only one person knew. Then you find out. Two people know. Know you know more than two people know. You may snap especially when the third person to tell him does it in the way he did.
I actually thought Cole was going to grab him then and there.
I thought it was Daemon attacked later.

Why is Alicient so upset about Rhaenyra and Cole? I understand it got her dad sent away but shouldn't she be relieved it was Cole and not Daemon?
I took it as she is realizing that Rhaenyra is not to be trusted and would rather do what is best for herself rather than what is best for the realm, peace and stability.
Once Alicient accepts that as fact in her heart, that means she truly has to be worried about future bloodshed of herself and her children in a situation where Rhaenyra takes the throne and the people do not accept it.

for those complaining about the episode being woke...explain yourselves. if that was considered woke then game of thrones must be also.
if its the gay scene, recall that Renly baretheon and that Tyrell guy had a gay scene in GoT as well.
if its the interracial angle, i'll remind you that GoT had the same thing as well (Daenerys and Drogo)

Just weird no one stepped in to break it up. Isn't the gay guy a lord?
I think the quote from Rhaenys, during the tourney in episode 1, lends some credence to why they just watched. To paraphrase, it's been peaceful for so long (ahem) people are just itching to see some good ol' fashioned fisticuffs. Also which one of those fancy lords is gonna be able to step up & stop a bloodlusted knight of the Kingsguard?
Also, fun little **leading spoiler** I found on Reddit...seems like a certain rat likes to continue popping up on some private events (Rhaenyra & Cristin sexy time last week and the private nuptuals this week)

One other event that I think sparked Cristol killing Joffrey was the fact that Joffrey grabbed Cristol’s arse after speaking to him then rub against his groin as he walked away.
I believe that and the fact that Joffrey just let him know that he knows Cristol is the princess’ mistress set Cristol off.

You forget, when GoT aired the culture warriors were too busy being up in arms about Muslims and Mexicans.
Now as the War on Terror has waned, Russia is suddenly an ally to half of the far right, and abortion is a losing issue, the outrage industry has turned back to the tried and true: black, woman, and gays.
I just imagine today if Lyanna Mormont showed up in House of The Dragon there would 1000 Youtube videos in a week crying and melting over "forced wokism"

Dang I missed all that. Did notice that Cristen sort of lifted his sword as Joffrey walked away.
Definitely going to rewatch that episode just because it was so good

Not sure why Alicent is all upset.
I don't think she's upset, I think she found her ammunition in support of her son. These princesses are supposed to be virtuous and pure before marriage. Clearly Reanarys isn't which could cause House Valeryon to rebel if revealed. Also depending on timing, it could call into question the legitimacy of Raenarys' heirs.

Alicent's jelly she acted in the best of interest of the Hightower family and had to pork an old decrepit dude for seemingly no political gain (timestamped as of the wedding, obviously)
Meanwhile, her old bestie is getting dicked down by a Dornish guy and still gets to become Queen/Ruler?
I'd be mad too

did you read the books?
Renley was never a main character in the books and it was assumed he was gay but there was never the interaction in the book like the show.
So did you read the books?

Not sure why it would be woke but as a book reader I have issue with it. For him and even Renley it was implied they both desired men but HBO has been driven for whatever reason to show it. No need as you know they are but their desire along with rape scenes in GoT I do not understand. You can simply have it implied, understand it, and it still moves the plot along.

Actually I believe she is now because she trusted her and even told her father he was wrong. He tried to make her understand as he was leaving that she can not trust her and now she knows she can not as she lied to her.

You are no different than those that swing hard to the right.
Can those that also swing hard to the left find your way out of these threads and hang out on the poli board.

That's a good take. I almost took the scene where she questioned Cole as she was relieved to find out it was him and not Daemon but her wearing the green dress shows that it was like you say.
Looks like next week is when we get the actor swaps.

for those that read the book, did you peep that little dwarf like man playing the drums (right before the scene when Daemon starts dancing with Rhaenyra)? could that possible be who i think it is ??!?

I love the down votes even though I fail to understand why it bothers so many of you that I question actually putting the gay scenes in the series or GoT when it never happened in the books. I have no issue with anyone being gay in the series but like the books you can imply something is happening and it will mean the same thing.
I guess many enjoy that and just not a thing for me like the rape scenes in GoT. To each his own for their vices.

But based on the preview for the next episode it appears we will miss the Greens vs Blacks
Also not sure the down votes for this as I was referencing a part in the book that the show based on the timestamps of things that have happened and will happen on the next episode they have not included in the show or will. They went a different direction that will work. So not spoiling anything since it will now not happen nor was I referencing something to do with the color of someone's skin.
It was not a racial comment and some of you need to get thicker skin.
