to me, its the journey and depiction that matters...reading the book, you can't appreciate and bring to life characters like king viserys, daemon, rhaenera like a live action show can.

Plus the book is more like a history book than a fictional novel. A history not so reliable in the details.

Yep, the history itself is derived from three or four different main sources, so for a lot of the big events there’s a tame version, an honorable version, and a wild version.

It’ll be interesting to see what versions the show decides to run with.

Probably somewhere in the middle of all 3.

I do like that he seems to know her better than he used to, even if Alicent believed her.

Is this the first time they’ve actually shown moon tea on either show? It was in the books but I don’t remember them showing it in GOT.

Also they are really pushing the ASOIF narrative. I wonder if it's to say they are connected to the show GOT or conversely to say they are connected to the book series not the show.

Oh lord, it looks like a real GOT wedding coming next week. Things get spicy.

Also, I am pretty sure that Alicent was brewing her own plan B in her room.

I think we are going to learn that a lot of the actions taken by the Targs was directly related to GOT proper bc they were preparing for the long night in their own way.

Sure looked like it.

Relatively slow episode but lots of stuff still happened. Next week looks like it’s officially kicking off

I didn’t think they did. Looked like just kissing before Daemon backed away and I assumed he was just trying to put her in a position to get spotted coming out of a brothel for his political gain. But then he admitted to the king that they fricked, so not sure now. Thought with Rhaenyra and Daemon telling conflicting stories, that the king would have the maester do some kind of chastity test and that her fling with Ser Criston would’ve changed things
