^ or they can just do another time skip for the re-union scene. they can use this scene as a springboard/introduction into the blackfyre rebellion since Viserys II does have a role in that story.

It’s been a while since I read this. Gonna have to refresh my recall between seasons.

I mean he fell from the sky and crashed into a lake to survive that he would need the worlds greatest plot armor which would be terrible fan service in my opinion. Also if he supposedly allowed everyone to think he was dead that means he just sat the rest of the war out while his wife and children needed him. That would be way out of character for him.
Aemond and Daemon dying is a crushing moment for both sides of the war in that they lost their most competent commanders. Things start to fall apart for both of them and we really see the war enter its craziest stage. To have Daemon secretly be alive and just watching this happen would be ridiculous.

Maybe he was just chilling in the back of the cave with Nettles in the Vale.

They called it House of the Dragon instead of Dance of Dragons
I read that the finale is suppose to finish with the start of the Dance of the Dragons. They also do not expect to have many time jumps in the future seasons as the first season was creating backstory to load into the remaining season which should focus around the major events including the IIRC 9 major battles.

I just don't buy that he would abandon the people he loves the most when they need him. The fact that they never found his body is a fun topic for singers and storytellers in their world, but it is quite obvious that he died and frankly it is a badass way to go out. He had his last epic duel and took out the two biggest threats to the Blacks Aemond and Vhagar. It is a moment of self sacrifice and a warrior's death a perfect end for his character arc.
Having him miraculously survive a fall from the sky would be nonsensical.

I feel the same. It should be one of the coolest scenes/sequences we've had in the GOT tv world. Should be like a damn bomb going off when they all hit.
Someone brought up Cregan Stark earlier too, and I hope he's a badass. Jace flies there and they are supposed to have a cool relationship, so he should be full of piss and vinegar when he gets to KL.
I hope we get to see Corlys again before the season is over too.

I wish they would have kept the Storms End scene closer to the book.
If they hadn’t piddled away 40 minutes, they could have ended with blood and cheese.
Daemon is supposed to be at harrenhall by now. I think they are going to mess around with the dragon seeds. Vermithor has to end up with Hugh Hammer. Not sure how that works in with Daemon singing to him.

I think this was a much better ending for Season 1- but wish there wasn't such a long wait for Season 2.

I didn't mind how it ended.
I don't like people thinking Aemond vs Luc was an accident. They did make seem Luc was the aggressor because his dragon spit some fire, but Aemond was ready to get it on.
I wish Daemon would have been at Harrenhal and sent the letter to Raeynera about "eye for an eye" and shite.
The show made it seem like D and R were very far apart in how to approach things.
That's the way to get the audience to waver on whos side to pick.
frick Otto and his terms. I do wish/hope we see some sword combat and not just dragon and rider against another. Even though we should be in store for some sweet fricking dragon war scenes

Luc was trying to calm his dragon down but lost control. The fire wasn't his fault his dragon panicked after being chased. Aemond immediately knew that was trouble and started trying to calm down Vhaegar. He didn't want to kill him he only wanted to bully and scare him but once the dragons started fighting control was lost. He will probably claim to have done it on purpose though as he doesn't want to be seen as weak and admit that he was unable to control his dragon.

I read Fire and Blood a few years ago and forgot exactly how it all ended. I completely forgot it was Rhaenyra that got torched and eaten by Sunfyre. There are going to be A LOT of pissed off “slay queen” Rhaenyra fans when that happens
I really can’t wait to see how they make Aegon II look after he is burned and twisted.
