I'm thinking yes and then Daemon will give us the classic a son for a son line.

Yeah, that trailer showed a bunch. It seems like a stretch to get 4 seasons out of Fire and Blood, but we'll see.
I believe when Daemon VS Aemond happens Daemon is 94

the issue with this thread is that the book is actually not that interesting. it reads like an academic history textbook with hardly any dialogue and character development...eg "this happened 5 years ago, then this happened in the year 265, and then 2 years after that this happened" etc
the actual tv show is far superior and more interesting as it provides actual detail to how things unfolded.

You're right with what you said, but it doesn't have to be an issue. We can talk about shite that is gonna happen or when we think it will happen episode wise.
The show is fantastic and the other thread was getting some smart as spoiler comments, so here we are. No biggie

Maybe they move it up
I'm wondering how the episode ends. Is Daemon away and sends Raeynera a message about justice, or if they change that a little. What dragon is Daemon singing to?

I think if they do 4 seasons, they would go down to perhaps Summerhall at least or possibly even the start of Roberts rebellion.

Blackfyre rebellions need to come before that, but yeah there are some avenues they could go down.
They called it House of the Dragon instead of Dance of Dragons, so that could mean going in to Blackfyres.
It could also mean nothing

I have wanted the damn Blackfyre Rebellion on screen since the Crackpot Thread was stickied on page 1 on the board

This series is strictly on the Dance. They aren’t going to cover other periods

I hope they do it. So many cool characters to deal with. I sure do miss that Crackpot thread!

HBO realizes now the cash cow this universe is. They arent going to waste it by jamming 100 years in 4 seasons

I've seen a few people guess that is Vermithor that Daemon is singing to.
Hammer will be the the rider.

If I had to guess, House of the Dragon will cover the following periods:
1. Dance of the Dragons (3 seasons)
2. Conquest of Dorne, with The Young Dragon and The Dragonknight as main characters (1-2 seasons)
3. 1st Blackfyre Rebellion (1-2 seasons)
4. Dunk & Egg + the reign of Aegon V (3 seasons)
That would be 8-10 seasons worth of content, presumably spread over 12-15 years.

There are like four other live action series in the tube for this universe, and even two animated ones.

I’m almost positive the show runners have stated this show will only cover the Dance, and run 3-5 seasons.

We get Aemond v. Luke, but then they should end the season with blood and cheese, especially if there is a two year gap coming.
The show is focusing on Alicent having some decency and wanting to slow her father down. Ending the season with her having to watch her daughter pick a grandson to kill, and then getting the opposite, would be the most shocking way to end the season.
The problem is that they would have to cover a frick-ton of content in one episode to get there. The black counsel, Daemon going to Harrenhall, Jacaerys going north, Luke going to Storm's end, the fight, Daemon setting blood and cheese in motion. The episode would have to be a highlight reel.

I need to re-read the book during the offseason but where is Daeron at this time? Kinda strange he hasn't even been mentioned but they've said he's coming

Is the length of the episode known? If it's 1.5 hours or so, I can definitely see them ending with Blood & Cheese and just rocking everyone that thinks this whole thing is black and white as far as who the good guys are.
