This show's getting worse with each episode.
Season 2 Episode 2 was probably the best episode of the show. I have no idea why everyone is bitching about this episode.
Carie's part in the episode made perfect sense. She hit rock bottom, picked herself back up, and received the info that will move her forward from this depression state.

Totally agree. This episode may not have been as great as last episode, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. And I thought Carrie's parts were probably the strongest parts. I enjoyed the Brody parts as well, but they defintiely required more suspension of belief. Show is as strong as ever IMO.

I don't think its too much of a stretch that brody was the only available person to handle the bomb maker. He was pretty close location wise and knew the guy, what else is needed? The whole killing scene definitely had some flaws but who cares.

Agree, people are overreacting bc last week was so good

Same here... I think Carrie's character is very interesting and Danes does a phenomenal job with the role...

Her emotions are literally a rollercoaster. I typically HATE lead women in shows but Carie has done an incredible job of making the viewer want her to win.

This show is as good as it gets on TV right now. Both performances by the leads are incredible.

Again, they reused the motivation from last week. Only Carrie can go to China. Only Brody can evacuate the tailor. They're like Starbuck and Apollo. The first time it was plausible, but the second time was not for the reasons I gave earlier. A Congressman is a pretty good asset, and to risk him on a field op, where anything can go wrong, and with the CIA closing in, really stretches credulity. That red-headed dude is pretty recognizable even if he does wear a baseball cap, and WTF is he doing running around with an Arab?
OTOH, Nazir must know Brody is compromised due to the video. Maybe they were going to kill them both out in the middle of nowhere, and Brody unwittingly saved his own arse. That must be it.

When he hosed himself off at the car wash, I was thinking, "Damn, that's gotta sting." That was the high point of the misadventure for me.

I think Brody doesn't get the VP bid if he's separated from his wife. That pulls him back out of the spotlite where he can do his naughty work.
At some point he will flip back to 'Merican badass. Maybe he tells his wife the truth about the deaths he witnessed and she uncovers the truth to the media? I dunno, but I just see Brody coming out as the U.S. hero in the end, not the terrorist.
Oh, you people are nuts if you think they're wrapping all of it up this season.

Based on the ratings, I agree. However, the current story line does not agree. It will interesting how it plays out, to say the least.

The best friend Mike is a mystery. Why was he so interested when Jessica told him that Brody had slept with Carrie? It seemed to be an interest more than just an excuse for him to renew his fling with Jessica.
They set this up to mean something for sure. It was kind of strange how he reacted.

I think this season has been remarkable so far.
Here's my question : Why does Brody even need a "handler" at this point ? Can't he just figure a way himself, on the spur of the moment, provided he has the explosives, to kill/blow up whatever he wants ? Is Abu Nazir even that important at this point in an operational way ?
Anyhow, this series after last night, becomes a more cat and mouse psychological thriller thing than previously. Carrie is going to abuse his arse ! My loathing for Brody has reached a new high with this last episode.

Wow. It was like they hired different writers for the Brody storyline of this episode. They send their most important asset on an incredibly dangerous mission that could have easily been handled by someone else. Flat tire was convenient. Then the guy decides to run down the highway through a field in plain sight instead of going into the woods. Then instead if just hiding from Brody he decides to jump out and hit a Marine with a rock. Then, instead of finishing him off he just runs away. They made both of these characters absolutely retarded for 1 episode.

I thought there was something there at first too, and there could be but the second time I watched it, I really just think that he was looking for any reason to justify going after Jessica.
Btw, that chick has a ridiculously small head. A pretty head, but a really small one. Reminds of this dude.

Pretty much agree. And Carrie is the focal point of the series, along with Brody, for God's sake. She is not a bad agent. She has been right all along. She just has bipolar issues. And Daines plays her well.

We have no idea how big Nazir's operation is in the US. Once again, the CIA was extremely close to marking the bomb maker, I do not see how it is unrealistic that Brody had the best chance of getting the bomb maker to the safe house bc of there locations relative to each other.

This isn't too big of a stretch.

Brody had located him at this point.

In extremely stressful/tense situations, logic often goes out the window.
You people need to get a grip, there are things to gripe about (cell phone in bunker) and things to let be. You can say the storyline was dumb or not needed which could at least be argued but the situation itself and the way things unfolded is justifiable.

I'm with you Hilt.
Some of the criticism of this show is extremely ticky-tack. Only thing I've had real issue with thus far is the cell phone in the secure bunker deal.

Yeah, that was definitely filled with suspense. Great episode. This one was so-so for me. However, I think the upcoming ones should be very interesting with the CIA knowing about Brody.
