Here's what we know:

Finale Teaser

A Clean Slate

From Entertainment Weekly:

quote:

So what can Gansa tease about next week’s season finale? “The final episode is called ‘The Choice,’ and what I can say about it is Walden is dead. Nazir is dead. So we’ve sort of left the thriller aspects of the show behind and now we come to a very personal story about Carrie and Brody and all the obstacles that lie in the way of them being together. That is what the finale is about. It’s a real character study of these two people, where they’ve come from, how they regard each other, and whether or not there’s a future for them.”

From Youtewb:

quote:

Carrie is faced with a pivotal decision, Saul undertakes a secret assignment, and Quinn has a decision to make that may prove to be a game-changer in the Homeland season 2 finale.

quote:

Brody meets with Faber to contemplate the future of the family

Predictions:

Dana dies. The long, drawn-out hit and run story arc has paid zero dividends so far. Dana is having daddy issues that haven't been resolved for weeks. I'm guessing she'll eat it once she forgives her dad.

Quinn dies. I don't see Brody dying. Not sure if both can be alive at the same time - Quinn is following orders from scumbag Estes, he's a solider. Quinn obviously is not 100% all in. Maybe he discovers his moral compass.

Saul gets redemption. Estes no longer has Walden pushing him up the chain. His meeting with Roya early in the season was never explained.

Carrie and Brody go into exile. Not sure what Carrie and Brody's place in the States is now. Brody will always been known as a terrorist. Brody in the teaser is taking a photo (passport?) and has a bunch of cash on hand. I'm guessing they head to Mexico for some R&R or some shite .

Jess and Mike Dbag Faber don't get back together yet. I have no clue what Jess's role will be on the show now that Brody and her have split.

Chris will still be worthless. Flatscreens! Kuma War!

Quinn is shown in the woods with a sniper rifle.

Brody and Carrie run off to that cabin in the woods again. Quinn follows to take one or both of them out.

Carrie is still off the grid with the CIA so I think they try to get rid of her so the glory goes to the service and not a crazy ex-agent.

So, Quinn goes to the woods to take them out. Someone (Saul) intervenes and the shite hits the fan. He knows Brody is in danger now that Nazir is out so he starts trailing Quinn. Somebody dies in the woods, and its gotta be Quinn.

I also think jess and/or Mike gets killed, not just the kid.

I hope it's not Quinn that dies (or Saul)

I think someone else will die such as Dana, Chris, Jessica or Mike.

What if Brody's entire family dies?

I thought about that too, but the show writers won't want to lose Morena Baccarin.

It would be a little much for that to happen, it will show her suffering from whatever loss it will be.

I am still interested to see how this plays out. I keep thinking that Saul has dirt on Este's from his dialogue towards him. I keep thinking that saul set up the surveillance teams to follow Este's. Thats what Im hoping for at least.

Yeah I fully expect her to play the grieving mother next season.

I'm still not convinced the Brody/Mike/Jess triangle is over, either.

So right when it looks as if the couple will part ways and finally be able to be happy with their lovers, the death of someone close to them brings them closer together and causes them to push away said lovers?

Oldest trick in the soap opera book. I really hope this doesn't happen.

Maybe Saul/Carrie help Brody fake his death since Saul knows about the assasination plot?

Me neither, and I don't think it will, just throwing it out there.

I just don't see Mike and Jess living happily ever after with Brody's kids. Not going to happen.

Maybe they are throwing someone elses cadaver over the side to make people think Brody got killed and they let him go off the grid?

I just don't see them killing off Brody or Saul. Quinn? Maybe

Another interesting theory:

quote:

Nicholas Brody is faking it. He plotted with Abu Nazir to have Carrie kidnapped, so that Brody could “save” her, thus ensuring her loyalty and manipulating her into concealing their crimes (which she did, after all: she didn’t tell her bosses about the scheme to kill the Vice-President.) All that face-acting Damian Lewis was doing, with the yelling and the screaming into Skype—a notable departure from the subtlety of Lewis’s earlier performance? He knew Carrie was listening. It was an act.

quote:

the entire Walden scheme, including the kidnapping of Carrie, was a set-up orchestrated by Brody and Nazir. The premise being that Brody's loyalty to Nazir never wavered, or at least was solidified after their mysterious meeting a few episodes back. Remember, we never did see what really happened between the two during that episode, which was purposely presented to the audience via abbreviated flashbacks so as to engender suspicion.

quote:

Carrie Mathison is clearly in love with Brody. Brody has feelings for her, too, but he’s still capable of manipulating her (which is the same thing she’s doing to him, after all, in the name of the C.I.A.—calming him down with sex, holding his hand to reassure him.) When Nazir kidnapped Brody, during that mysterious prayer confab a few weeks back, the two came up with a plan. I’m not sure what that plan is, beyond killing the Vice-President, but it seems to involve messing with Carrie’s head—even more than she’s already been messed with.

They go to the cabin and Saul knows Carrie is with Brody, therefore tips him off. Brody ambushes Quinn and kils him

This for sure.

Carrie definitely has a target on her head and she will continue to protect Brody even after Saul tries to subtly warn her off of him.

I think Brodie is praying in the woods to use himself as human bait to draw Quinn out. Saul will have a plan in his pocket. Either that or the mole will scoop Brodie and take care of Quinn. He'd be a valuable asset to the other side. That sets up for Carrie angst when they are supposedly going to run off together but Brody "goes by himself" instead.

The last scene will be with the mole opening up a brand new plot arch with a terrorist thing even bigger than Nasir... keeping Brody compliant by letting him know his daughter/family is in the crosshairs now.

hunh? if you're talking about the Muslim burial at sea we saw in the previews I'm pretty sure that's Nasirs body going over ala Bin Ladens funeral.

As for predictions, I do think Dana or Chris will be killed. However, I don't think any of the main players will be killed in next weeks episode i.e. Quinn, Jess, Saul and especially Brody. Someone may be shot at the end but I'm sure they'll leave room for the possibility of survival whoever it is. I have a feeling we've just begun to scratch the surface of Quinns character.

Saul will ultimately try to help Brody escape and he'll have to use Carrie of course to make it happen and Carrie will want to go with him and Saul can't let that happen. So we'll get a 10 minute scene of Saul telling Carrie how stupid she is etc. And during the course of this conversation/argument, something will come to light about the mole or something else important that we've all been wondering. When we see Saul and Carrie finally come together and discuss what they both know and both of their intuitions are revealed to each other, it will cause a HUGE revelation I think.

And I still don't think anyone knows that Brody is a Muslim and terrorist but the CIA players. The rest of the world and even his own family don't know he's a terrorist. I'm sure Jess knows now, but I mean at this point, if the CIA were to honor the agreement, nobody else has a clue what Brody just did for them and himself, right???. So maybe there's a way Saul can take out Estes and whoever else might be a problem for Brody and it makes next seasons plot. Or maybe that is next seasons plot, if Brody can just get his life back, Carrie gets to be with him and the process of how they make that happen......

I firmly believe Brody has been trolling everyone and still is leaning towards being a jihadist terrorist.

1. Nazir had him alone for a period and Brody didn't tell anyone that they prayed together, etc.

2. Carrie spills her heart out to Brody, he never even admits he likes her.

3. Nazir says that "someone will take his place" to Carrie during their exchange. Why the hell did he come to America anyway? To die and pass his duties to Brody.

4. Brody's emotional outburst of tears when he finds out Nazir is dead.

5. Killing Walden - everyone just accepts it. He killed someone and was happy about it

6. Brody's lack of interest of keeping his family together or happy. He just keeps his distance. He hates his own son. Dana is the only one he likes.

7. Nazir letting Carrie leave, not killing her, etc., making her believe that Brody saved her.

I'm sure there's other example, need to rewatch season 2.

Thinking the same as well, wouldn't be surprised at all if Brody was still playing Carrie.

Maybe he knows that becoming the next Nazir is the only thing that will ensure his family's safety in the future. He did acknowledge they'd come after his family. Perhaps Brody will have to choose between being a terrorist and saving his family's life.

Quinn either has a soft spot for Carrie or he's becoming disenchanted with the idea of killing Brody. Hopefully he lives because there is character depth worth exploring. Maybe a Brody/Quinn/Carrie triangle will emerge
