the thing is that "Kevin" character in this movie didn't end up stealing from that couple after all

I'm pissed that Disney chose not to diversify their cast from the original and make the burglars Black.

This is a level of realism Hollywood avoids.

Watching this now and WTF was this made by Lifetime?

I legit thought this was a Lifetime movie until I saw all the random talent.

Honestly, Lifetime would've done a better job

Just watched. Giving the villains a legit reason ruins the whole premise. Movie sucks.

I only saw the first 20 minutes because I had to get up and go do something, but I surprisingly didn’t dislike it. From what I gather the “burglar” from where the movie seems to be going is a guy who actually had something stolen from him himself that he needs to get back in order to financially help his family. I cut it off whenever the father was trying to hurry the family a long to get to the airport, and the father had a very Nat Faxon thing about him. His comments were making me laugh. I’m gonna go google who that guy was, but he reminded me of Nat Faxon

So they cast a woman (Aisling Bea) who hates children to play a mother? No thanks.

Grace Randolph said she had to fast forward through the entire break-in scene because the movie set these two up so sympathetically as parents who were just trying to save themselves and their family from financial ruin. It's compounded by the fact that they're breaking in to steal back what was stolen from them.

Yeah. I watched and absolutely hated this angle. It was lame as shite

Watching now. The kid is horribly unlikable. He's really the villan.

Eta- finished it and it wasn't as bad as 3 but it still isn't Cannon in my mind.
