Great episode.
When HIMYM tells a story, it can be some of the best writing out there.
When HIMYM has to fill 30 minutes, it can suck bigtime.

Pissed it said "Next time on HIMYM" and then cut to RObin Williams' show's promo 
But my wife and I both teared up a good bit when she was talking to Max (my grandpa's name, who passed away a few months ago. My grandma talks to him every minute of every day).

This. But the Barney thing was a little predictable for me. Ted will now wake up Marshall and they will search for him and Ted will someone fix the problem with Lily.

Solid episode.
What was the puzzles thing about? I've seen several nods to it in here but I'm kinda lost.
I'm digging the mother. Almost to the point where I don't want Ted to end up with her.
Someone refresh me on Barney and Robin? IIRC, last we saw them they were taking Barney to bed because he was Jabba drunk.
It is a little annoying how many issues they are having this close to the wedding. Between Barney and Robin both getting cold feet on and off to Ted's whole obsession with Robin, there are constant signs that these two shouldn't get married yet (though I'm not mad that they are together like some people are).
The only thing that irked me was that Ted would've 100% looked around the corner on the balcony to see who was singing.

Does anyone else's chest kinda hurt when wrapping their head around this type of thing happening IRL (I guess more so for those that aren't married)? That there could potentially be dozens of close calls with your soul mate and the one person for you yet neither of you know about it, all the times you have been in the same place at the same time and didn't have a clue, all the times your paths have almost crossed but just barely didn't, yet in time eventually the universe will get it right? Heavy stuff.

awesome episode. the references were great. naked man, the other mccarrons, st pattys day, yellow umbrella, shellfish joke, puzzles, etc

I thought it was a really good episode but they missed an opportunity to make it an hour long or make it a 3 episode arc. It seemed a little rushed and you never got enough of one thing.
I really liked the references and the song and the end was truly beautiful, she is definitely wife material and way too good for ted They spent more time convincing the audience that the dead boyfriend was her soulmate than they did showing her and Ted connections...again I think it could've been some of their best episodes if they had given it more time to tell the story of her. I mean theres been like 6 episodes that were entirely filler and pointless so I don't think anyone would complain about making her the focus for a while

Yeah, at the risk of sounding like a complete tool, I've always wondered how close I came to meeting my wife before we met. We hung out at the same bars/night spots, ate at the same restaurants, and even had a few mutual friends. There just had to be some times where we were probably in the same place at the same time.
