re: Hawkeye Discussion Thread (SPOILERS)

Clint vs the LARPers and Clint vs the tracksuit mafia was pretty funny.

I don’t have expectations that this will be an A tier marvel release, but the first two episodes already have me more intrigued than Falcon and Winter Soldier.

It’ll be tough for them to put out something worse than that one

This is definitely heavily implied.

Just watched Episode 1 and was pleasantly surprised.

Enjoyed it immensely. Clint is great. The exasperated sarcasm is well presented. The LARPing was hilarious.

There was something fishy going on in the opening scene, during the attack on New York. We don’t see either parent for a long time, then we are later told the father is dead. Either he isn’t dead, or the mother killed him during the chaos. She certainly seems to have her secrets.

I enjoyed the shite out of it. Kates apartment looked just like Clints from the comic, but with the hexagonal tiles reminiscent of the cover art.

I always felt like that comic series would fit neatly into the street level Marvel Netflix series and this show does have a lot of the same feel. In a good way.

The opening credit artwork was absolutely great.

Very excited to see how it progresses. I’m trying not to mention things I noticed that remember from the comics because I don’t want to accidentally give up plot points.

Always wished they had embraced this aspect of the character from the comics earlier in the movie series.

LARPing was hilarious. Some role models vibes there.

Steinfield is smoke and has great timing with her comedic bits. I’m enjoying it.
