We use Hulu live so we don't get AMC anymore. Since AMC+ can be had without a AMC sub now I am caught up on TWC using a free trial.

Any rec for new shows from the past couple of years that are worth binging? I actually have no issue continuing the sub if there is enough content I have missed.

BTW it has AMC, IFC, Sundance and Shudder.

Gangs of London for sure. Better Call Saul way up there as well

If you want something funny, Brockmire on IFC is solid

Both of these on Sundance:

The Bureau, a French political spy drama.

Deutschland 83, Deutschland 86 is the second season, and there is a Deutschland 89, but I don't think it's available. Spy drama centered around the last few years of East Germany.

Brockmire is on Hulu so he shouldn't use his trial time on that when he can watch it later.

Better Call Saul can be seen on Netflix if he has that.

Gangs of London though for sure. Should also try out Creepshow.

Was already caught up on Brockmire and BCS. I am not missing out on the BB universe, I paid for the non-free episodes when there was no stand-alone option for AMC.

It looks like Gangs of London is first up now, it had already piqued my interest and was well rated.

Does anyone remember the show on amc probably like 7 or 8 years ago something about the sun.

It was about 2 cops in detroit. Really good show. Only lasted for a year. Both british actors but i can't remember their names.

Came on after breaking bad I believe.

AMC botched some good shows imo by moving nights it aired and what not. Halt and catch fire for sure. That was a great show with a great cast. Also really like the killing.

Halt was fantastic jmo

Low winter sun. Good show, hated that it didn’t get more seasons.

I liked Season 2 quite a bit but it's also a very different show compared to season 1.

Season 1 was a man vs man vs nature type thing. I'd compare it more to something like the survival elements of The Revenant mashed up with the X-Files episode Darkness Falls where people messing with nature when they shouldn't have leads to them being attacked by a seemingly unstoppable wildlife w/a dash of the episode Schizogeny where nature is somewhat being controlled by an aggrieved party.

Season 2 was more man vs man vs demons from the past. I guess if I could compare season 2 to a movie it would be more like The Grudge where the ghost is unrelenting once it's after you mashed up with Ghost Story w/the ghost attacking specific people for a specific reason.

I wish they had a better name for the series. The Terror as the main series name sucks b/c the first season was obviously named that for the ship they were on. It doesn't really make sense for season 2 to have that name.

They should have just created an anthology series name after the fact and done a marathon of season 1 with The Terror attached as the subtitle so people knew season 2 was part of that series the same way FX did with American Horror Story retroactively subtitling season one as Murder House.

Not that this is what I would use but something like AMC's Horror Boogaloo: The Terror and then AMC's Horror Boogaloo: Infamy would make a lot more sense IMO.
