May 4 - Marvel's The Avengers

May 11 - Dark Shadows & The Dictator

May 18 - Battleship & What To Expect When You're Expecting

May 25 - Men in Black III

June 1 - Snow White and the Huntsman

June 8 - Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted & Prometheus

June 15 - That's My Boy & Rock of Ages

June 22 - Brave & Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

June 29 - G.I. Joe: Retaliation

July 3 - The Amazing Spider-Man

July 13 - Ice Age: Continental Drift

July 20 - The Dark Knight Rise

From May 4 all the way to July 20 there is something that I will pay money for to watch every weekend.

I still don't know what to think of it. I'm just really completely opposed to making Snow White a total badass. It's like turning Jack Bauer into a pussy. It's just not the character at all.

are you being sarcastic?

1985 is the winner. Back to the Future and UHF? I rest my case.

That is because you grew up on the Disney version.

The idea of going back to the darker, grittier original Grimm tale is very intriguing.

I'm confused by all of this love for cheesy movies. I'm assuming you're a grown up, but you're pumped about:

Dude, the Avengers and Spiderman are looking like they'll be pretty good. If you're not excited about those two (or in the very least the Avengers) then your inner child is dead.

In the original tale, Snow White is a seven year old girl. Must have missed the part where she goes storming into battle with armor and a sword.

Meh. I enjoy a good comic book movie, but wouldn't say I get excited about them with the exception of Nolan's BM series.

The group of movies listed by the OP looks about like the average summer line-up.

I'm probably in this group. While I'm excited about the Avengers and Spiderman on the big screen, I don't really care that much about the story being told.

With Nolan's Batman, I'm excited about Batman on the big screen and the story being told.

outside of Nolan's Batman, I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a superhero movie.

X-Men, Fantastic 4, Iron Man, Spiderman, Hulk, etc..

they just don't do anything for me

My first thought was that the Queen was supposed to be jealous of snow white's beauty...but why on Earth would Charlize Theron feel threatened by this chick?

I would imagine so. There's only one movie on that list that I will probably see at the theater, The Dark Knight Rises. I am also somewhat interested in the Spider-Man remake but that's about it. Probably catch it on DVD when it's released.
