Sorry can't remember the movie, but was at blockbuster and had it in my hand, when the two clucking hens next to me started discussing the twist ending. I put it back on the shelf and smugly thanked them. I never wanted to drop kick two bitches so badly in my life!

My friend Anti-Spoilered me once. I told him I was going to watch "On Golden Pond" that night on HBO and he said:
**************SPOILER****************
"Too bad the old man (Henry Fonda's character) dies in the end"
I watched the whole thing feeling sad that this cool old man was going to croak, and in the end, HE LIVES! I was so pissed at my friend!

Friend of mine walked out of Rocky II as a little kid and was screaming and cheering, "Rocky wins! Rocky wins!"
The queue of people waiting to go in were not happy about that at all, according to his parents.

I've DVR'd a few football games that were spoiled by various people. Does that count?

The Golden Globes this year spoiled the finale of Boardwalk Empire season 2 for me.

That very thing happened to me. My friends and I went to the second showing of Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan. We had to work so it was the earliest one we could go to. Some a-hole comes out of the theater as we are going in and yells "Spock Dies". I was so pissed.

I yelled, "HARRY DOESN'T DIE!!!!" After I got the final book on the release night. Flipped to the back and found where he killed Voldy. I also did it from my car to keep from getting mobbed

Regarding LOST, purgatory was a theory people had from early in the show. As you have already been potentially spoiled, I will say that the island is not purgatory. I hope this knowledge will allow you to continue to watch the series with an unskewed perspective.
that helps big time.
SPOILERISH (Lost)
I can see why people thought it too. Just watched the episode in season 2 where the tail end survivors figure out who the Other is in their group. She asks why they took the children and he says "they're in a better place".
mind=fricked at this point. will i have to wait 75 more episodes to figure out who the frick the others are?
also, when the frick will they go back to the giant polar bears and its connection with the comic book?
mind=fricked.
frick lost.

How many episodes are there? For many mysteries, you'll have to wait that long and it still won't be explained. It is still worth the journey, but don't expect all loose ends to be tied up.

Worst for me was when I liked Dexter on Facebook after watching seasons 1-3 on Netflix and was in the middle of 4. When I had season 4's finale spoiled by the Dexter Facebook site.
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

he six sense was spoiled for me by a guy at the movie theatre before I saw it. Sucked I went into that movie knowing the twist..
this.
But I had fun with it, I watched it with a group of friends and a little into the movie, I said "I think Bruce Willis is dead" when it was revealed I looked like a genius.

Empire Strikes Back when it was first released.
Guy I lived next to in college...
"I could tell you something that would ruin the movie for you."
"Then don't tell me."
"It has to do with Luke's father."
"Don't tell me."
"It has to do with who Luke's father is."
"His father died."
"Maybe not. Maybe he was in Star Wars and we didn't know it."
"Darth Vader is Luke's father."
"How'd you know?"
"You suck."

Yeah, hints are almost as bad as outright spoilers. I even hate when people say "you're gonna love the twist at the end." Now I'm expecting it and sometimes figure it out. At the very least, the twist loses some of the impact because of the expectation.

yep. I have read the game of thrones books. I am avoiding posting in the threads so I don't accidentally spoil anything. But others are already doing that with, "just wait, you'll hate ___ even more" or "pay attention to ______" . Most posters don't realize that something that small is in fact a spoiler and fricks it up for others. I want to watch a show/movie without any spoilers at all. I don't watch movie trailers for that reason.
I saw a movie poster of Warrior before I saw the movie. The poster was a pic of a scene that was about 60 seconds or less from when the credits rolled at the end. I really liked the movie, but there was no suspense b/c I knew how it would end.

I was reading some random review of Oldboy, and the female critic totally gave away the biggest twist of the movie. Completely ruined the movie for me when I actually saw it.
