If we’re doing television, I've always liked this one towards the end of The Wonder Years....

Johnny Greenwood's weird piece during the oil derrick fire in There Will Be Blood is perfect for the mood of that movie

I like when Sloop John B by the Beach Boys plays in the background while Lt. Dan is reaming out Forrest and Bubba in Forrest Gump. Right when he's done yelling at them you hear, "...This is the worst trip I've ever been on"

Tarentino could be on here a lot, but I always liked I Got a Name when Django and Schultz saddle up.

And when Strawberry Letter 23 plays when Ordell kills Beaumont in Jackie Brown

Don't know if already said, but twin suns piece by John Williams in A New Hope with Luke looking to the horizon. Instant chills.

I don't know if this has been mentioned. But the final scene of the dark knight.

I was coming in here to post this. This scene, and the ending scene when Andy and Red meet on the beach in Mexico are the two best scenes in the movie.

Fire and Rain I'm sure has been used in many shows/movies. But my favorite was in Remember the Titans. The whole thing was coming together, the team has a breakthrough...then Gerry went down.

Fire and Rain - Gerry's car crash.

I mentioned a song from Jackie Brown earlier but didn't post it. When Max meets Jackie after bonding her out.

The whole fight leading up to the gong at 3:27 sets everything up perfectly. The fight scene in Rocky is possibly the best use of a score, ever. Rocky I fight

Side note from another thread...

The actor who played "Chef" in Apocalypse Now was the same actor who played "Blue Duck" in Lonesome Dove. Both of which, of course, also starred Robert Duvall.

This may not be a great answer but the music during Wrath of Kahn when they were fighting in the nebula was amazing . . . also the orchestral introduction of the Enterprise in The Motion Picture was powerful.

I'm not going through this whole thread, but surely Last of the Mohicans final fights scene is mentioned in the top 3 if not number 1

Edit: it was in the second post
