Here’s an offbeat one but makes me chuckle every time.
Michael Cera being forced to sing “These Eyes” at the college frat party in Superbad.

I’m in agreement with Ride of the Valkyries in Apocalypse Now. However, if you’ve seen Peter Jackson’s They Shall Not Grow Old and know the backstory of the singers in the closing credits, the rendition of “Mademoiselle From Armentieres” is really great.

Yeah this is the answer imo, but another one I always go to when this comes up is Iggy Pop’s Lust For Life in the Trainspotting opening scene.
Does a great job of setting the manic youthful tone at the beginning, then the movie fades into Lou Reed’s Perfect Day as he falls deeper into the clutches of addiction, and finally the sort of uneasy hopefulness of Born Slippy at the end.
Just remarkable song selections by Boyle to use the flow of music to tell the story of the film.

Oh it’s such a Perfect Day

That was a heavy handed, obvious movie w/ no subtlety and the use of the that song is the low point. How clever, the song is not about the violence going on all around.

I know scores aren’t supposed to be on here but I find that Clint Mansell’s scores to Requiem For A Dream and Smokin Aces made for great finales.
