Great film scores in bad movies

Anything come to mind? I mean actual music composed for the movie.
Chevaliers de Sangreal just popped up on my soundtrack playlist. That’s from one of the Dan Brown books which I don’t think were good movies but that’s about the only thing that I can think of

Hans Zimmer has scored some b type films i think...not really bad but just more average type movies

I love Hand Zimmer. I have a ton of music on his phone. You can always tell a Hans Zimmer score. It has extremely specific beats that it hits and most of it is interchangeable between movies.
Other than… let’s say Gladiator and the F1 movie.

I don't know why, but Ladyhawke (1985) was the first movie that came to mind.
Apparently, I was slightly off base - from the wiki:

The film soundtrack, composed by Andrew Powell, has met some criticism, with some saying the synthesizer laden track is incongruous for a medieval-themed movie,[13][14][15][16] while others were more critical, with one reviewer calling it the "cream of the crop when it comes to atrocious scores" and another saying it sounded like an "exercise video that got played on top of a low budget '80s sitcom". It has been placed at the top of a list of worst movie soundscores, and appears on three other lists of bad movie music.[17][18] Another commentator calls it one of the most "widely mocked soundtracks in the history of film".[19]

Klaus Badelt's score for The Time Machine. Outside of a couple of fun sequences, the movie is garbage. However, the score is magnificent and deserved a way better movie. In fact, the only reason I have watched it since the first time is because of the score.

The 2001 version? I LOVE that movie

Pretty much all of the Star Wars Prequels and Sequels have great soundtracks even though most are turds. John Williams doesn’t miss.

First, I liked Ladyhawke. Second, the score was nuts. Even as a kid I couldn't understand the synth score in a fantasy flick.

As a kid, I liked Ladyhawke too, but that movie can be a whole other discussion. haha I had a completely different soundtrack to that movie in my head when I first saw the post. It was epic orchestra in my mind, not synth.
Back on topic, I have to agree with GeauxLSUGeaux and pick The Phantom Menace. John Williams is about the only one who did his job.

Legend of Bagger Vance... what an awful movie, at least the main theme is good.
Rudy?

Alien 3. The best score in the franchise imo....and while I hated this movie for a long time the subsequent Assembly Cut has grown on me.

John Carpenter composed the scores for all of his films.
Like Halloween is a terrible movie but the film score makes it a classic.
Pick any of his films and its true.

This was a late night watch for me when I was WAY too young to be watching this movie. Bruno Kirby sticks out in the movie like a sore thumb. He's like a mafia henchman in olden times.

There's a good movie hidden in there somewhere. Stephen Lang does not play Stonewall Jackson so much as channel him (or at least what I imagine he must have been like). But, to truly do justice to the story it was trying to tell, it needed to be two or three times longer than it was (and it's already four hours long). And apart from Lang (and obviously Robert Duvall as Lee), the acting ranges from barely passable to legitimately some of the worst ever committed to film. The score, as you mentioned, though, is excellent.
