I think her arc in feast is some of Martins best writing. You are watching a person go mad with power. I loved that part of the book.

That's what the small council is for. It was supposed to have a member from every house on it, but after Robert's Rebellion, The North and Dorne refused to send members to the council.

I can't disagree with this. I have a feeling we'll end the series with no dragons left, so it's not much of a stretch to have all magic erased. And it would be par for the course - you've got to root for Jon, he's the rightful heir, etc. - so he's probably going to die.

yep. we're going to have a total reset of the game board. all magic and dragons will be gone, iron throne will be gone, Westeros will transition to a series of individually-ruled regions.
Drogon's last act will be melting the Iron Throne into a pile of molten metal
