Serious Question:

Is it true that the Vake Army wasnt there? If so why? Granted it's great if they weren't there, but did they intentionally leave out a fighting force for the Battle of Winterfell.

The show will probably use plot teleportation, but shouldn't it take awhile for the Second Sons to leave Essos to get to Kings Landing.

Are there any Tullies left to fight, I assumed most of them went down with Blackfish at Riverrun.

I keep seeing posts that there are 2 dragons left. I thought the dragon that Jon was riding was killed leaving only Drogon.

I thought the dragon that was trying to kill Jon in the end was the reincarnated dragon that Jon was riding.

Can someone clear this up for me.

The short preview clip for next week shows a brief glimpse of two dragons flying over Winterfell. From what I remember (everything was moving so fast), Jon's dragon made a hard landing but wasn't shown to suffer and definitely fatal damage.

One Lord didn't show up as he promised to do back when Jon was crowned King of the North. He also refused to help Jon fight the Boltons. Swore an oath even.

Dany and Jon need to take the dragons, burn his castle to the ground, along with his family, and then tell his army to fight for them or else they get the same.

Freys are unaccounted for.

Right now, Dany can probably hold the Twins. Preview shows her at the Twins. Does she have enough to move South or will Cersai move north to attack her at the Twins?

So you want a conventional good guy "dawn of a new day" ending? The same sort of ending you've seen a thousand times in every Disney movie, in Harry Potter and lord of the rings?

Sadly, you'll get it.

You have to remember in the BotB Lord Royce only sent his Calvary which was a small part of the Vale Army. The strength of their Army is not only the Calvary but the ground soldiers that are well armored and supposed to be trained to battle under the worst of conditions in combat. This was mentioned several times on the show by different people. Robb said if he had the Knights of the Vale under his command he couldn’t be beat. Littlefinger talked them up and so did Tywin once when he was discussing the fact that he hopes the Vale stays out of the War of the 5 kings. There are still quite a few Vale soldiers with Robin Arryn. I don’t know if they will use them or not.

Melisandre went back to Essos she could have sent word about the impending battle(s) to the 2ns Sons and for all we know they could be on their way already.
Not sure about many Tullies being left. Should be some Frey’s left though they are pretty much worthless. Should be the full Dornish Army left as well as they never got on the ships Dany sent because Euron intercepted them.
What I hope doesn’t happen is Daario shows up with like 15,000 2nd Sons that to me would just be unrealistic I think they had 5,000 or so when Dany left them in Essos. These guys can write whatever they want though.
We are getting someone to either show up and ‘save the day’ or something is going to have to happen to have either the Lannister Army or Golden Company to turn on Cersei before or during the battle. I could see the dragons lighting the place up with fire and Euron tucking tail and trying to bail once he thinks all is lost.

What I want to know is where are Cersei, Euron, and the mountain riding off to in the trailer I doubt they are going for a joy ride. There has to be a reason they are either going to talk to someone or to ferry their troops somewhere but why would they leave their strong position?

...and one that foreshadowed Arya. Plus an entire series of developing her character to fulfill that particular prophecy.

Stop. Really.

Have you been reading theories from last year too? Lol

All of those are possibilities, and I hate to be the broken record (sarcasm) but the meta question we have to ask is "are D&D honestly going to do that?"

Would they really use THE SAME army as rescue plot device? It would make sense to get the 2nd Sons, but I believe the real reason they left them in Essoss was because they wanted to focus on a Daenerys and Jon love story and didnt want Daario as a third wheel.

As for Dorne, I'm still upset with how the directors butchered and discarded the plotline. The just wanted to show off the actress Elia Varma and didnt handle the plot carefully. And since the Dornish story doesnt really cater to "tits and dragons" crowd, they axed it.

Dorne SHOULD come help. But as it stands they ruined House Martel for cheap shock value. Realistically Dorne would under House Ironwood at this point.

Anyone think D&D did that tactically poor ( visually awesome) Dothraki charge only because there was no way to answer the question “where do these Barbarians live in Westeros after the batfles are over?” Easier just to make them disappear in 15 seconds

Lots of possibilities as to who shows up to save the day. Going to laugh like hell if it is Robin Arryn. I expect it to be the 2nd Sons and nobody else. Dorne would be awesome though. I doubt they use Knights of the Vale again unless just a few thousand come down to march south.

One of my Youtubers made a similar comment. He said that that the writers didnt want to deal with the political problems of different cultures living in Westeros. So they killed off the Dothraki and the Unsullied.

Its basically a cop out. I pour one for all the people who died in what to them was a foreign land that they never really cared for.

In reality Cersei should die the most brutal death ever but I bet she goes easy.

Which is the exact opposite of the way she is on the books. Tywin knows she is petty and vengeful and it clouds her judgment. No way she’d wait for the Army of the Dead to thin out the opposing army; especially if it meant someone else potentially killing Tyrion. She wants to be the one to kill him, and to make it slow.

Then they use that money to buy the Golden Company out of Cersei’s pocket.

Maybe I missed it, but is the Golden Company already under contract to Cersei? Sellswords don’t go against their contract otherwise it’s hurts their future business. Maybe the Golden Company isn’t viewed as a sell sword.

Unfortunately too many people will not know who the frick they are, so they probably are just writing out Howland Reed.

And Jon will end up being the king of all 7 kingdoms. The show is still about him, it’s just not about him killing the night king but about being the ruler of the entire realm
