He was granted access to the cast and others in the show. As he said, GoT basically created his career. Before that. he was the funny Australian guy narrating the running of the bulls.
All of his reviews this season have been glowing and apologetic. He's not burning any bridges.

Unintentionally my longest and probably my only episode thread I’ll ever create.
Eff HBO for the title though. Iron Throne was lame.

Didn’t he almost kill Jon in the streets of KL for trying to stop him from executing some soldiers?

One irritating part is that I just don't see how things go "weeks" after Jon kills Dany peacefully, until the various Lords show up to negotiate the ending.
We have 2 pretty big armies; Dany's Unsullied/Dothraki group, and Jon's Northern/Vale group. Basically equal, and as Jorah pointed out season 1, Dothraki do have disadvantages against armor. And in areas like the city, those horses aren't a whole lot of good.
So let's say the forces are now about equal, considering the sudden loss of air support.
Jon kills Dany; Greyworm is systematically killing every Lannister because they were foe. I just have trouble reconciling the change to "let's take him hostage". It's not like Dany's group would fear death, so why take him as a shield? And it's not like they are currently into taking prisoners anyway.
Other side, the Westeros group. Just had their beloved leader taken, most probably would be extremely willing to fight for him. Given how bloodthirsty Greyworm is, you have to figure Jon's probably already dead anyway.
And consider who's in command now- technically Davos, but suddenly Arya shows up. Arya Stark, sister to Jon and Sansa... the hero of Winterfell no less. A girl that threatens to kill Yara for even talking about her brother.
At the very least, we could have had Arya at least threatening to kill Greyworm, and wiping out the foreigners. Maybe Davos has to talk her down. But I could see her say "we have to act right now, before they organize".
sigh, gonna miss this show. It would have been fun spending half a season with the prisoner negotiation/siege. And with the time it takes to get the others there, Sansa and Bran could be scheming with perfect intel.
And maybe Bran hops Sansa's place in line, in the final decision, leading to Sansa vs Bran later on;
Sansa "Bran sees everything, but he only sees it. Littlefinger taught me not to show anything, so I have to do things ever so quietly, in a way that never tips him off". If she's truly the replacement LF, she might be up to that task.

Brienne didn’t really have a happy ending. She lost her man.
Jon’s was ok - he murdered his ole lady and went into exile but he got what he wanted - to not do his job

So, did we learn what Brienne finally got? She made the Small Council, as I remember, but as Master of what?
Oh, and it looked like Pod was in gold, so that makes him a member (captain?) of the King's Guard, right?
Aren't they sworn to celibacy, or something like that? Or can they just not take a wife and lands?
Seems kind of a waste for the guy whose skills with the ladies was so good that prostitutes don't make him pay for it.

SIAP, but Jason Momoa had some reactions to the finale.

So Dany's vision was true. She saw the throne room as it happened but the vision of her family was her death, her spirit meeting them because Drago was waiting for her.

Yep she only touched the throne slightly. Never sat on the thing. Would’ve been sweet if Jon sat down and then Drogon torched it
