Also, how the frick did the North get away with "We're going to be independent" and the other kingdoms didn't want the same offer? If independence is on the table, they should be jumping on that.

Still does not satisfy the fact that he is the actual King. I mean these lords and whoever sit around and discuss his fate but yet he should be deciding their fate. He is the true heir.
We just watched a whole series that focused on the true heir of the throne retaking it from the usurpers based on a false reason that led to a rebellion to only have the same thing basically happen in the end with more usurpers over throwing the true heir.
