Last night was the first time in a long time I jumped up from the couch worried for a character in this show. I was convinced Bronn was gonna die. I feel you.

I would like to know exactly how much the Iron Throne owed the Iron Bank. Because everybody talks about how indebted the Iron Throne is to the Iron Bank, but one wagon load of gold got this supposedly massive debt repaid?

Apparently Noah Syndergaard (Mets pitcher) made an appearance in the Lannister army last night. He threw a spear at a Dothraki and then got burned to a crisp

Pretty impressive. Was surprised to learn they actually set people (stuntmen) on fire.

Very cool stuff right there. It says they broke a record by having 20 guys in one shot on fire. Sheesh.

Those were bricks of gold in that wagon (the wagon we saw)

It's not like it was all golden dragons

It was more than one. Jamie just stopped one to give Bronn some change.

Theon won't die. He will have to live with all the horrible things he has done.
Theon will die bravely and with honor. He's avoided bravery and honor spectacularly thus far. My guess is he will be with Euron and they're both doomed, and Euron will cower, while Theon goes like a man. Dragonfire, Wildfire, something to that effect.
I'm guessing there will be a 1 on 1 battle and some form of fire will come into play, and both men can escape if they quit fighting each other and run. Euron wants to do that, Theon says "nope, not this time". Gonna guess that Yara will be witness.

If they were gonna kill Bronn, last night was the perfect opportunity
Bronn has to rejoin Tyrion before the end. He's the bridge between Tyrion and Jaime, and probably will call both "you proud frickers" out on their stances. Bronn openly dislikes Cersei, as noted by the talk between Jaime and Bronn, about there being a peace under Cersei- Jaime says stranger things have happened, and Bronn says "like what?".

Yeah I know, but if it took only one wagon load of gold to pay em back, why'd they take so long? Couldn't they have just imposed a tax on the lords and had it paid off quicker?

but then that would mean when ja'qen hagar parted ways with arya and her group when he changed faces...he had a dead persons face on him.

I think that is the deal with the Many Faced God. He teleports them magical disguises, magical in the sense that that they fit perfectly and you sound like the person too. I don't think the faceless men have a skill other than killing and perhaps skinning.

I couldn't figure out why Arya seemed to have left ja'quen on bad terms but still has this magical gift from the Many Faced God so I looked up the religion and the Many Faced God is the god of death. I guess with her high body count Arya's in pretty good standing.

Surprised that the spear didn't go completely through the Dothraki.

I think not only that, but Brienne shortened the gap considerably after she started to take Arya more seriously. It wasn't like Arya worked her over the whole time. Big bitch had had enough with that kick to Arya's chest that sent her flying.

I don't even like Brienne, but if she had wanted to kill Arya in a straight fight she would have. Having said that, Arya is more like a smaller Bronn. She wants to win and kill the other, by any means necessary. I don't think this makes her a great swordswoman, but a dangerous person to be trifled with.

This will piss off the realism crowd but gold in this world (atleast in the show) has no weighted value given. We get small examples of people paying for things and never really any correlation to how their monetary system actually works.

Tyrion promises the gate keeper at the vale "more gold than you can spend in a life" I believe and he threw him a half sack of gold when he left and that was it. So going off of that, the wagon of gold was probably essentially billions of dollars

I think when Ned first got to Kings Landing that Littlefinger said that the Crown owed either the Iron Bank or Tywin $3 million. I imagine it was probably between 4 and 5 by Season 7.

But again, I'm not sure if that's owed to the Iron Bank or to Tywin. But I do remember that being said.

That what was owed to Tywin I believe. And Tywin was borrowing from the IB to keep the facade of his wealth up.

And since that scene the crown has gone through multiple wars, weddings, and other controversies that have caused that debt to raise considerably....plus interest

Going through the rewatch, I don't think any of the Starks are gonna be manipulated by LF. When Bran gives Arya the dagger, Sansa says "He's not a generous man, he wouldn't give you anything if he didn't have an angle" or something like that. It's only a matter of time for the smug prick and I couldn't be happier.

I admitted that the book may cloud my judgement somewhat, but no fricking way is he on the Hound or Barristan's level. The Hound is vicious as shite but also strangely composed and Jaime considered both the Hound and Barristan in his 60s as being the only people capable of taking him.

Barristan is in his 60s, and Jaime considers it very possible that Barristan could beat him as arrogant as he is. Jon is by no means at their level, even from what the show has shown us.

Nobody is mentioning the mountain. He could beat most people while holding an 8' 4x4. Maybe he doesnt have the finesse of those you mention but the brute strength accounts for something...

That's what we're saying. It didn't. It took several. I think the book mentions the amount being 6 million dragons.
