He's brutally efficient. It's what he's needed to be in all of these battles he's participated just to reach the end and not be dead on his feet. Kind of like Bronn. They are men built for true war and fighting in scrums.
Perfect. They're not going to win a shite ton of tourneys like Jamie or Ser Loras, but on the battlefield they're going to end a ton of lives and survive.

Still has the best sword-based death in the series thus far

Melisandre

Melisandre paid the Brotherhood gold in exchange for Gendry, after they had accepted him into their ranks. So, she wants her dead for taking him and Thoros and Co. dead for betraying him.

Books are different obviously but in the show I think he's the best in the world

How much time passed in Westeros since the start of the season? 6 months?
That said how long does it take for the NK to march his army?
Jaime sinking into the water felt like some TWD cliffhanger claptrap.

If they ended a season on that, I would agree. The fact that it (should) will be over next week doesn't bother me.

The army Dany is speaking to is absolutely the remnants of the lannister army she attacked. You can tell by the armor they wear and the scenery
I think so too.
She is giving a "join me or die" speech, which is really in stark contrast to why people follow her. For now - those who do follow her, those she has freed - think they can just walk away at any time, without repercussion, thus the point of Jon, Davos, and Missandei's conversation this past episode.
It has happened time and again, to many a leader on this show, that if you try and force yourself upon the people or another ruler, this faction will rebel with deadly force.
The show is doing an admirable job of showing how Jon, Tryion, Varys, and former slaves who currently follow Dany have come to believe in this line of thought. Bending the knee is not the way to go. I can't imagine any of them ever doing it again.

Sorry. Jon and Dany just don't have any chemistry.

That's very possible, seeing as how the "they fought together against their common enemy" angle is bullshite.
This scene and this quote took me back to when Jon was trying to convince the nights guard and the wildlings that they need each other. I think he and Dany practically forged their alliance there without fricking.

There isn't slavery in Westeros. Now she is at war. Real war. She can either free them, ask them to join her, or put them in pow camps or kill them.
If she turns them loose, they rejoin her enemies to fight against her again. Not happening.

Who cares? The story would be impossible to tell if you stuck to a strictly linear timeline.

They did a similar thing with Tyrion in season 2. It's a perfectly fine plot device when used in moderation. TWD does it for every season ender and they have like 30 other show breaks they do it for to so it's just lazy for them at this point

Dany is such a huge bitch.

Anyone notice the North now has less than 10,000 soldiers? Was 20,000 under Robb Stark. All those Northern civil wars took a toll. That number probably includes wildlings as well.

Did no one catch Davos' line about someone else with a "good heart" (Missandei of Narth) right after the implied discussion of Dany?

Two things:
1) Bran missed his only chance at poon and now he is a nerd in his castle basement fapping to trees.
2) How awkward will it be if Jon and Dany do frick on tv given the fact that the Kit is engaged to Rose who is BFF's with Emilia.
I mean you think Kit might convince them for some three way action irl?
