a few different things, to me as well over the years...Jon and Daeny, or just Jon, or Rhaegar and Lyanna, who's FULL story is revealed piece meal at a snail's pace. I can also see Rhaegar, harp in hand, wooing Lyanna with such a song - validating their clandestine relationship through destiny.
(ok, yeah, cheese wiz all over my keyboard )

Me, too, but Emma Peel was awesome. The roles kind of overlap in impact. The scenes with her and Dance's Tywin contain some of the best acting in television history. Some of the best "improvements" of the show over the novels come from those 2 actors in those 2 roles.

When he got the vision of Dany when she was in the House of the Undying, Rhaegar incorrectly interpreted his sister as a future daughter. He was expecting 2 daughters after Aegon. He was probably confused AF when Lyanna bore a son, if he even knew. He may very well have left for the Trident before the birth.

Jon is the son of Rhaegar. All Westeros needs is for someone to confirm it.

True, and it will be confirmed. But would Jon accept it? Would Jon agree to be legitimized as a Targaryen? He has already declined this offer once, when Stannis offered to make Jon a Stark. No matter how his father is revealed, Jon still needs Dany to legitimize him as a Targ. Or at least her blessing.

Jon could very well go the "Blackfyre route". Daemon Blackfyre was the bastard son of Targaryen parents and was given Blackfyre and still wasn't legitimized as a Targ. Maybe Jon decides to embrace his bastard heritage and starts House Snow. Or House Longclaw. I think it is out of character for Jon to agree to be named a Targ.

I think the theory gets played out more because of the scene with Tyrion and the dragons that did not harm him but not buying myself.

Agreed. Plus, if they are going to make "dragon is friendly to Jon" be part of the revealing him as a Targ storyline, I think the fact that they did it with Tyrion already would kind of negate that if he is not a Targ at all.

Like I said, there are advantages and disadvantages both ways. The main disadvantage, in my opinion would be overuse of the secret bloodline/ancestry plot device. (As I typed that Lonestar from Spaceballs popped into my head ).

No that was me. Probably better for the crackpot thread, but that died last season, did it not?

(ETA: It's very supportable.)

The crackpot thread is on the book board. If that thread were a GOT character it would be Dondarrion.

That gif may seem a bit out of context-

I was going to correct you and say it was Daeny's vision, but then I realized I had never considered that House of the Undying vision could be a two-way street.

Crackpot AF, but not as WTF as my knee-jerk reaction wanted to label it. I didn't get where Rhaegar was expecting another daughter though (to be in-line with Aegon I and his sisters?)

I thought it was just the moment that he realized another child was coming...from somewhere...but not his wife.
But if he was seeing Daeny at the same time...ok, I'm getting my head around it now.

The thing I (think) that I remember about Rhaegar in that vision is that he said "his" is the song of ice and fire. And maybe something about there needing to be another because the dragon has three heads?

Yeah - had to be. He saw her right after Aegon's birth. In my opinion, he misinterpreted that as he came to the realization that the dragon must have 3 heads.

Yes, thus his naming scheme.

He is speaking to a woman who is nursing a newborn babe, telling her that the child's name should be Aegon and saying that "What better name for a king?". The woman asks him if he will make a song for the child, and he replies that he has a song and that "He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire.". He appears to look at Dany then, as if seeing her, and then he adds that "There must be one more," and "The dragon has three heads.".

The thing I have always liked about Aegon is that he makes this vision come true; all of the other visions in the House of the Undying came true. We know the "one more" will be Jon.

What is Thread can never die.

Shark did leave one Hell of a mess over there...sliced up some fijit in a Barristan Selmy hosted paint-by-numbers clinic.

If the last few pages were combined and framed, it could sell as an original Pollack...only in red.

Random/unrelated, but since I forgot to look for this, did we see Highgarden and/or Casterly Rock in the intro for the previous episode?

Also, congrats to getting the thread for a single episode over 100 pages (in less than a week, no less). And that's with a Hodor thread, a leak thread, and several other discussion threads.

Jon is Azor Ahai. None of the rest matters.

So, who are the 3 heads of the dragon? Danny? Jon? Who else?

Most speculation centers on Tyrion. Nothing conclusive, but from a biography standpoint, he seems to fit.
