Jesus Christ man, stop with your bullshite.

That bullshite had 24 upvotes, so I don't think I'm off base here at all. Cersei murdered thousands of people which led to their son's suicide. He shouldn't still be enamored with her and should be horrified with what she has done and become.

GoT S7 E3 Thread: 'The Queen's Justice' Maester Thread by weagle99
There is a theory that Varys is leaking info

This is what I was thinking. But no way show Varys would support Cersei. I've never read the books but from reading these threads it appears show and book Varys are very different. Maybe Quyburn has a little bird there.

Until I read this thread I was convinced Dany and Tyrion had a mole in their ranks. Knowing to clear out the Rock just seemed unlikely without prior knowledge. I didn't take into account the Iron Bank forcing their hand.

I understand the Iron Bank forcing her hand. I understand abandoning CR because it really didn't hold a strategic value. I understand the reasons for attacking Highgarden. What I am questioning is that they also knew to take the follow up step of sending Euron to wipe out the Unsullied fleet at CR and to strip the castle of provisions. That's next level planning and they had to have known Dani would strike there.

Yeah, I mean I know Varys hates magic and Melisandre, but I don't think he'd be willing at all to side with Cersei either in the show or the books.

I think that's LF killing the maester at WF. Did you see the look he gave when the maester said he was going to check the old maesters notes, and that he kept record of every raven ever sent to WF. Might be something in there he doesn't want him to find.

So the Unsullied aren't actually trapped they just have to trek across the entire continent to get back to Dragonstone. Correct? Nobody is outside the gates Euron is just blocking the sea.

Yes. With their boats being sunk they have no way back to Dragonstone without traveling by foot east.

That is next level planning. The show tag line was Jamie learns from a past mistake. I guess it's possible but having a mole is the Occams Razor explanation.

I'm guessing Casterly Rock has enough in it for them to get by for a few weeks. The garrison there had to eat something.

Isn't Edmure in the dungeon there? Perhaps they free him and can make the shorter trek to The Riverlands and gain some support that way.

Book Varys would not support Cersei. In the book, Varys abandoned the Lannisters when Tyrion escaped but, unlike the show, returned to Kings Landing to wreak havoc. In the book, it is Varys and his little birds that kill Kevan Lannister and Measter Pycell. Book Varys also declares his loyalty to House Targaryen at the end of Dance.

Book Varys is one of the more diabolical characters. He's pretty frickin evil in the books.

Is Qyburn in the book or is he an amalgamation of Varys and someone else.

Yes, Qyburn is in the book. In the book, Varys is in Kings Landing causing problems for Cercei behind the scenes.

The show writers wanted Varys with Tyrion, so Qyburn is basically filling in for two characters in Kings Landing.

This. LF made an OBVIOUS look when that was mentioned. He is concerned about what is in those records.
