Very predictable but well made action episode. I would give it a B+.

And I loved the look on Tyrion's face when Dany was dropping some reality on the Masters, and you see Drogon flying towards them in the distance behind them. The look on Tyrion's face was priceless. He does love him some dragons.

Yeah it was predictable but there was really no other way to go.

The Targ Dragons got smaller over time due to being kept in captivity.

Pretty sure, on the show, Tyrion already made the point about the dragons being stunted because of being chained up.

So it seems now the wildling numbers have decreased quite a bit. I know there are still women and children and older people, but I wonder if this will kind of mitigate the issue of having wildlings south of the wall, or if they will stay further north so the noble houses in the Seven kingdoms don't really give a shite.

I didn't like how they had Jon basically frick everything up and go all cowboy instead of being a decent military leader. Then he was predictably saved by Littlefinger.
Still loved the episode. I wish they could all be this worthy.

I know. I said it was like a good action movie. Mindless but entertaining.

He should give them the Dreadfort and the Karstark's lands.

Prediction: Arya returns to Westeros, in time for the Frey/Lannister dinner

Don't think Jon really gives a shite about the noble houses after they sided with the Boltons.
I'm actually pumped for Lord Manderly to give his speech about how he bitched out on answering Jons call to banners.

Jon was well on his way to doing that, until he saw Rickon get killed feet from him.
Then he lost his shite.

So looking back with this, Hardhome, and Blackwater, does anyone still think Watchers on the Wall is near perfect episode as many initially thought? It's at least clearly the worst of the battle episodes. Granted judging from the last two episodes, I think D&D learned from it: Biggerer is not always Beterer.

Well done all around.
Great scenes. Great acting. Great dialogue. A little predictable. Happy ending. Top 5 for me.

Honestly, Miguel Sapochnik must have calls from Hollywood executives all over after this episode. May be the most well directed episode of any show I've ever seen. Just expertly crafted and he deserves a big round of applause for how good this episode ended up.
No doubt. Remember this is the same guy who directed the Hardhome episode.
And will be directing the next episode as well!

I enjoy all of those episodes in the same way. Watchers is definitely just a YouTube episode though. Meaning I just watch the highlights.

I think half of the ships were pulled back and not firing anything while the other half were upfront launching fireballs. I think she only roasted the ones that were launching fireballs.

Ehh it's a matter of opinion. Some people watch the show for the fights and stuff, and some like the convoluted political dealings. Watchers on the Wall was good IMO, but this was one way better. I remember you hating that episode
