Are there any warriors left in North? Karstarks and Umbers are wiped out. Starks and wildlings are considerably reduced.
Is there anyone left to really fight?

I loved how Tyrion was able to talk Dany down from going full on mad Targaryen on the slave cities. Tyrion is the perfect counterbalance for Dany, and he may be the only person she seems to listen to. She even looked back for his approval when making the alliance with the Greyjoys.
As much as I loved the Battle of the Bastards, I still had to go back a couple of time on the opening Meereen seen during my rewatch of the episode.

Yes, in that moment Jon lost all his empathy and wanted nothing more than to bash his head in, but then he saw Sansa and realized this shouldn't be a death by Jon's hands, it's Sansa's.
I was waiting to see Ramsey kneeling and Sansa holding a sword.

I caught that. I thought Dinkledge was great this episode after not being given much to work with all season prior to now.

The Manderlys were notably absent. They are a fairly large Northern House.

When Jon and Sansa argued the night before about not having enough men, shoe could have easily said something about the Mockingbird. I agree.
If Sansa had told him there was a good chance another army was showing up, he would have planned differently. Ramsey would have noticed and probalby held back more forces. Instead she played her cards close and Ramsey did exactly what she thought he would do. Which allowed LF's army to do exactly what she wanted.

I think Sansa wanted the satisfaction of being responsible for the win, not Jon being a myth-style leader. She still sees him as a bastard.
I agree. But that kind of backfired-- hard to get more myth style than "climbed out of pile of corpses covered in blood", stormed Winterfell with like a half dozen men, single handedly took on the King of the North absorbing a half dozen arrows, then beat him half to death with his bare hands.

Lannister army is the last line of defense

TV has to do shite like that. I was expecting the Vale army to ride in the whole time. It was still awesome though.
Yep. The drama with Rickon was more of a lame cliche to me.

As satisfying as it was and understanding the limitations of time left in the series; they could have milked the torture of Ramsay for an entire season and I would still watch.

I thought that was how it was gonna go down. Jon gives Sansa the sword and she beheads him Ned style.

Yeah he got his "die Ollie" face on.
So... Um, note to Dany and the Lannisters- if you have a chance of killing someone or something precious to a certain Northern bastard, maybe pass on that.

You realize that was Ramsay's whole strategy right?

Tormund being confounded by long words in this episode was hilarious. His bug eye expression is just so funny.
Davos: Stannis had demons
Tormund: Did he see them?

Can't wait to get back to Dorne next episode.
I'm getting bored by the Jon Snow, Tyrion, and Dany storyline.
