Also, Thorne is definitely more of a badass and somewhat respectable character in the show than the books.

Yeah, not really seeing the motivation for that. Gonna make it so it would be logical for him to become Lord Commander.

At any rate, very good episode. Guess Jon won't have to worry about distancing himself from grenn and pyp in the show since they are dead.

Is Thorne dead or just wounded?

We need a "stop...hammer time" gif of Jon killing Steyr.

It showed him in someone's bedroom with a crossbow, approaching a closed door.

I wondered that too when Jon asked "who is left to give orders".

Good episode but they are leaving a lot of to be done for next week if they are trying to finish the book this season.

why are you people expecting Stannis already? This doesn't happen until Jon is meeting with Mance and discussing the horn of winter. it will be next week.

I just don't see how they can cram Stannis in next episode with all the other shite they have to cover.

Seriously, what balls they had to say that this one-upped Blackwater. It's clear that the only spent their budget on giants and mammoths, and that's it. There was no substance to this episode. Really, they could have had Stannis come in and had Tyrion kill Tywin in this episode if they were smart. Honestly, I think this is the most disappointing episode of the series, and I can't fathom what D&D were thinking. Just a terrible episode as a whole.
